Flight Attendant

This role presents an exciting opportunity to join Republic Airways, a leading regional airline in North America, as a Flight Attendant. Essential Responsibilities:

Safety First: You will be responsible for diligently executing all regulatory and assigned cabin duties, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort throughout the flight. This includes maintaining a comprehensive understanding of emergency procedures and equipment, ensuring the safe operation of all emergency exits and aircraft systems, and efficiently handling emergency situations with calmness and expertise.
Passenger Experience: Deliver exceptional customer service by providing passengers with a seamless and enjoyable travel experience. This includes serving food and beverages, assisting with carry-on baggage, maintaining a clean and organized cabin environment, and engaging in inflight sales and promotional activities.
Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other crew members to ensure timely and efficient operations, including adhering to reporting times, departure schedules, and turn times.
Professional Image: Maintain a polished and professional appearance, adhering to the company's uniform dress code and exhibiting exemplary conduct at all times.
Compliance: Demonstrate a strong understanding of and adherence to the company's Rules of Conduct, inflight guides, and manuals.
Core Values: Actively promote and embody Republic Airways' core values and culture throughout the work environment.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
Age Requirement: Must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the first interview.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior Experience: Previous experience in customer service, particularly in an aviation environment, is highly valued.
Flight Attendant Experience: Previous experience as a Flight Attendant is a significant advantage.

Additional Requirements:

Professionalism: Possess excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a strong customer-oriented mindset.
Service: Must be willing and able to serve alcoholic beverages and handle food items, including peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
Allergens and Animals: Ability to work with animals and around other allergens and products.
Appearance: Adherence to company grooming standards, including restrictions on tattoos and piercings.

Language Skills:

Communication: Possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations. You will effectively communicate with management, crew, passengers, and the general public, ensuring clear and concise information delivery and response.
Fluency: Excellent spoken and written English is essential, including the ability to communicate effectively during emergency situations.

Reasoning and Problem Solving:

Time Management: Ability to work efficiently in a time-sensitive environment, effectively manage stress associated with deadlines and unexpected changes, and quickly adapt to changing circumstances.
Problem Solving: Proven ability to interpret and understand instructions provided in various formats, including written, oral, diagrams, and schedules.
Emergency Response: Remain calm, think clearly, and react promptly in all types of emergency situations, including medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, and turbulence.

Decision Making:

Operational Decisions: Make day-to-day operational decisions requiring sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
Stress Management: Maintain composure and respond appropriately under high levels of stress and during unexpected or serious situations.

Physical Demands:

Strength and Mobility: Possess the physical strength to reach and operate emergency equipment and exits, lifting up to 70 pounds. You will be able to lift objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds, push and pull carts exceeding 250 pounds, walk and stand for extended periods, and perform activities such as stooping, crouching, squatting, climbing, and kneeling.
Sensory Abilities: Clear vision at 20 feet or more, with or without corrective lenses, and the ability to clearly hear verbal communications in person and over airplane communication systems amidst ambient noise.
Seating: Must be able to comfortably sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications.
Mobility: Ability to move about the aircraft freely, efficiently, and quickly in a confined environment.
Endurance: Willingness to work extended duty periods on consecutive days.
