About the Role:
The Flight Attendant Instructor will play a crucial role in developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for Piedmont Airlines' flight attendant team. Utilizing strong communication and instructional skills, the Instructor will ensure flight attendants receive the highest standard of training in safety regulations, customer service protocols, and company procedures. This position reports directly to the Program Manager, Inflight Technology and Training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the training department to administer, develop, and present all aspects of the flight attendant training curriculum.
- Lead ground training programs for flight attendants, delivering engaging and informative instruction.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for line flight attendants, providing clear guidance and clarification on company policies and procedures.
- Champion a culture of safety by actively promoting and communicating safety information throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and training in flight attendant curriculum segments, with proven ability to effectively instruct others.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, ensuring efficient and effective training delivery.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite, with adaptability to various professional software and technology.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet strict deadlines, and adapt to frequent changes in schedules and job functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Prior management experience, demonstrating leadership and team management skills.
- Previous experience as a flight attendant or flight attendant trainer, bringing valuable practical knowledge to the role.
- Experience in a teaching or instructional capacity, showcasing expertise in adult learning principles.
Work Environment:
- This role will operate in a standard office environment, utilizing telephones, computers, and other office equipment.
- The position also requires working within aircraft cabin and airport terminal settings, with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Candidates must be able to work a flexible, rotating schedule which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts could extend up to 14 hours based on operational needs.
- Some travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to speak clearly and hear effectively in noisy environments is essential.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, and reaching with hands and arms are required.
- Candidates must be able to perform all safety functions and meet the physical demands of the flight attendant position.
