To uphold this standard of excellence, Piedmont Airlines is actively recruiting a motivated and reliable professional to join its Inflight Service Department as a Flight Attendant. This pivotal role is responsible for setting the benchmark for safety and inflight service delivery aboard American Eagle flights. The Flight Attendant manages diverse situations while maintaining continuous public interaction and operates with a high degree of autonomy within the aircraft cabin.

Key Responsibilities

• Expertly manage a wide spectrum of situations while engaging consistently with the public.
• Perform duties independently within the aircraft cabin, without direct supervision.
• Ensure the paramount safety and comfort of all passengers.
• Provide decisive leadership during both emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Adapt to various climates and locations while working variable shifts.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Must be between 5'2" and 6'0" in height.
• Willingness to work up to 14 hours per day.
• Maintain a professional appearance; no visible tattoos, facial piercings, multiple ear piercings, or non-naturally occurring hair colors while in uniform.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to walk and fit comfortably down the aircraft aisle facing forward, move swiftly through over-wing exits, and sit in the flight attendant jump seat without modification or the need for a seat belt extension.
• Possession of a valid passport ensuring unrestricted travel to and from the United States.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED completion is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Two (2) years of customer service experience.

Work Environment

The role operates within an airport ramp/warehouse environment, exposed to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels. Employment involves all shifts, including weekdays, weekends, nights, holidays, and irregular schedules. Extensive travel is a requirement, necessitating consecutive nights away from base.

Physical Requirements

This position demands frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs. It involves extended periods of standing and speaking, handling objects up to 50 pounds, and pushing catering carts exceeding 150 pounds. The Flight Attendant will also assist passengers with disabilities, including pushing wheelchairs.

Training

A comprehensive thirty-two-day paid ground school training program is scheduled in Charlotte, NC. Participants are required to reside at the designated hotel for the duration of this five-week training period. Ground school will be followed by up to two weeks of on-the-job training. Successful completion of all training phases is mandatory.
