Flight Attendant - Piedmont Airlines
Piedmont Airlines invites motivated and reliable individuals to join its Inflight Service Department as a Flight Attendant. This role sets the standard for safety and excellence in service delivery aboard American Eagle flights.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure passenger safety and comfort throughout the flight.
- Work independently in the aircraft cabin, handling a variety of situations and responding effectively to emergencies and non-emergencies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to passengers and fellow crew members in diverse situations.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with passengers and colleagues.
- Work in a variety of climates and locations, including variable shifts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Height: 5'2" to 6'0"
- Work Schedule: Up to 14 hours per day
- Professional Image: No visible tattoos, facial, multiple, or upper ear piercings, or hair color not naturally occurring on humans while in uniform.
- Fluency: Able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Physical Ability: Able to walk and fit comfortably down the aircraft aisle while facing forward, move quickly through the over-wing exit, and sit in the flight attendant jump seat without modification or a seat belt extension.
- Travel: Possession of a valid passport for unrestricted travel to/from the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Two years of customer service experience
Work Environment:
- Airport ramp/warehouse environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels.
- All shifts, including weekdays, weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts.
- Extensive travel, requiring the ability to spend consecutive nights away from base.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and climbing up and down stairs.
- Long periods of standing and speaking.
- Ability to handle objects up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to pull or push catering carts in excess of 150 pounds.
- Assisting passengers with disabilities, including pushing wheelchairs.
Training:
- Thirty-five days of paid ground school training in Charlotte, NC.
- Candidates must reside at the hotel during ground school for five weeks.
- Ground school is followed by up to two weeks of on-the-job training.
- Successful completion of all phases of training is required.
