Position Summary
Piedmont Airlines is seeking a motivated and reliable professional to join the Inflight Service Department as a Flight Attendant. This role is responsible for setting the standard for safety and inflight service delivery onboard American Eagle flights. The successful candidate will handle a variety of situations while in continuous contact with the public and will work independently in the cabin without supervision. This position reports to the Hub Manager, Inflight Services.
Essential Duties

Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.

Provide leadership in response to emergency and non-emergency situations.

Work in a variety of climates and locations on variable shifts.
Job Qualifications and Competencies
-
Minimum age of 21 years.
-
Height between 5’2” and 6’0” inclusive.
-
Possession of a valid passport for unrestricted travel to and from the United States.

Ability to work up to 14 hours per day.
-
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
-
Must maintain a professional image: no visible tattoos; no facial, multiple, or upper ear piercings; and no unnatural hair colors while in uniform.

Ability to walk and fit comfortably down the aircraft aisle while facing forward, move quickly through the over-wing exit, and sit in the flight attendant jump seat without modification or a seat belt extension.

Proof of high school diploma or GED completion.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Two years of customer service experience.
Physical Requirements
-
Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs.

Long periods of standing and speaking.

Ability to handle objects up to 50 pounds.

Ability to pull or push a catering cart in excess of 150 pounds.

Ability to assist passengers with disabilities, including pushing wheelchairs.
Training Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete 35 days of paid ground school training in Charlotte, NC, and reside at the company-provided hotel for the duration of the five-week period. This is followed by up to two weeks of on-the-job training. Successful completion of all training phases is mandatory.
Work Environment

Airport ramp/warehouse environment subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels.

Availability required for all shifts, including weekdays, weekends, nights, holidays, and irregular schedules.

Extensive travel requirements with the ability to spend consecutive nights away from base.
Employment Contingencies
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a clear driving record check, a 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and a drug screen.
