Position Overview

PSA Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines, is seeking a professional Flight Attendant to join our team. As a vital member of our flight operations, the successful candidate will contribute to the growth of PSA Airlines by ensuring safe, efficient, and professional service. Core Responsibilities

  • Assist the Captain in the safe and efficient conduct of flights from planning through termination.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all applicable FARs, TSA, and DOT regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all assigned duties in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct preflight inspections of cabin emergency equipment per the Inflight Manual.
  • Report mechanical discrepancies to the Captain promptly.
  • Advocate clearly regarding passenger safety and maintain professional crew coordination.
  • Complete all required records and reports.
  • Actively participate in the Company's Safety and Security Management System (SMS).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support department and company operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • College education or a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Minimum age of 20 years.
  • Must possess a valid US or foreign passport with applicable visas.
  • Ability to relocate or commute to the assigned domicile.
  • Height requirements: Minimum 5 ft 2 in and maximum 6 ft (with shoes).
  • Must provide proof of authorization to work in the U.S.

Working Conditions and Requirements

This role operates primarily within an aircraft cabin environment. The position requires passing a fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49CFR1542.209 and a pre-employment drug screen. Physical requirements include regular talking and hearing; frequent standing, walking, and climbing stairs; and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
