Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Manager of Inflight Operations, the Supervisor of Inflight Services is integral to fostering a high-performing Inflight team. This role supports, engages, coaches, and develops Flight Attendants, providing essential operational assistance within the terminal, at gates, or on aircraft to enhance efficiency, reduce delays, and elevate customer service. This high-energy, fast-paced position is crucial for supporting the frontline Inflight Team Members and the overall operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acts as an approachable and visible leader, modeling PSA’s core values and fostering trust and respect within the team.
- Manages and improves employee performance across key areas including customer service, safety, appearance, conduct, dependability, and attendance through recognition, coaching, and implementing corrective action when necessary.
- Promotes health, wellness, and safe work practices among team members.
- Serves as a vital liaison between the Inflight department, other internal departments, and Station Personnel.
- Provides critical Inflight assistance and support for inbound and outbound flights, addressing situations such as Flight Attendant injuries or aircraft emergencies.
- Responds promptly and effectively to unplanned events inherent in a dynamic aviation environment, including managing crew conflicts and emergency situations.
- Offers feedback on employee performance and attendance trends to Inflight Services Base Managers.
- Monitors and addresses delays coded to Inflight to positively impact key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conducts daily concourse audits, which include engaging with crew members on aircraft, providing Flight Attendant recognition, ensuring compliance (e.g., updated FA tablets), and supporting operational requirements of Station and Crew.
- Facilitates communication between Inflight Operations and the Inflight Standards and Training groups to support the implementation of best practices and provide feedback on new or revised policies and procedures.
- Contributes to the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS), including Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the Inflight team.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to successfully qualify as a Flight Attendant and maintain Check Flight Attendant qualification on all aircraft types.
- Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
- Above-average oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Preferred:
- Previous aviation industry experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a union environment.

Additional Information:
- Work Environment: This role operates primarily in a professional office environment but includes time spent supporting operations in the terminal and on aircraft. Standard office equipment is routinely utilized.
- Physical Demands: While largely sedentary, the position requires frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs, using hands to handle objects, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Security Clearance: All employees are required to pass a fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) and a pre-employment drug screen.
