Purpose of Position
As a dedicated brand ambassador for NetJets, the Private Aviation Flight Attendant is entrusted with delivering an elite, bespoke air travel experience while maintaining an uncompromising commitment to safety and security. This role represents the face of NetJets and the pinnacle of luxury service, combining proactive safety leadership, refined inflight service execution, and sophisticated hospitality. The Flight Attendant ensures every journey reflects NetJets' unwavering standards: safety above all, followed by a seamless, luxurious experience that consistently anticipates and exceeds the expectations of every NetJets Owner.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
The Flight Attendant assumes ultimate accountability for the safety and security of all Owners and passengers within the aircraft cabin. Core duties include:
- Strictly adhering to the Flight Attendant Manual (FAM), Service Procedures Checklist, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all associated regulatory and company policies.
- Conducting comprehensive interior pre-flight inspections and welcoming Owners and guests with utmost warmth and professionalism.
- Serving as the subject matter expert, providing personalized briefings on all aircraft safety, comfort, and entertainment systems.
- Skillfully sourcing high-quality catering from external providers when necessary, ensuring all provisions meet luxury standards and align precisely with specific Owner preferences.
- Delivering elevated inflight service, encompassing premium beverage and food presentation, execution of turndown service, and meticulous adherence to bespoke Owner profiles and detailed service notes.
- Ensuring the correct and safe stowage of all cabin baggage in accordance with regulatory and company policies.
- Capably operating flights involving Owners traveling with pets or who permit smoking onboard, always maintaining discretion and service excellence.
- Fostering a highly collaborative team environment, working closely with internal teams such as Owner Services and NetJets Service Representatives to guarantee a seamless end-to-end experience.
- Acting as a trusted liaison for Owners/passengers from arrival at the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) through safe arrival at the destination.
- Proactively communicating any cabin-related maintenance concerns or irregularities to the Pilot in Command for swift resolution.
- Accurately completing all administrative duties, including inventory documentation, service passdowns, and required crew reports.
- Maintaining the aircraft cabin in a consistently pristine and organized state, adhering strictly to company standards.
- Leveraging innovative thinking and sound judgment to address complex issues and make prompt, effective decisions within dynamic operational environments.
- Performing other responsibilities as assigned, dependent on specific trip or operational requirements.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Experience
- A High School Diploma is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in hospitality, customer service, business, or culinary arts, is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 2–4 years of relevant professional experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAOs)
- Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Must possess outstanding communication skills, demonstrating clarity, professionalism, and poise in all engagements.
- Proficiency in personal computing, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), is essential.
- Must exhibit a highly polished, service-oriented appearance and demeanor, capable of creating positive first and lasting impressions with Owners.
- Must possess sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with acute attention to detail in both technical and service-oriented matters.
- Must successfully complete the NetJets Part 135 Flight Attendant Training Program post-hire and maintain all required FAA compliance and certification.
- Body size must not exceed specific aircraft dimensions related to jump seat usage, harness fitting without modification, cabin aisle clearance, and emergency exit access.
- Must be comfortable working around animals, including providing care and attention during and surrounding Owner flights.
Operational and Travel Requirements
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be willing and able to travel away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights during duty periods, with accommodations provided.
- Flight duty periods may extend up to fourteen (14) hours daily over an eight (8) day period, crossing multiple time zones and varying climate conditions.
- Must possess a valid State-issued driver’s license.
- Must possess a valid passport and maintain the ability to travel internationally without restriction.
- Must successfully pass all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background screenings and obtain required airport authority and U.S. Customs security credentials.
- Physical requirements demand the ability to exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
