Position Overview
As a brand ambassador for NetJets, the Flight Attendant is instrumental in providing an elite and tailored air travel experience. This role demands an unwavering dedication to safety and security, representing the pinnacle of private aviation. The Flight Attendant is the face of NetJets, expertly blending safety leadership, sophisticated in-flight service, and bespoke hospitality. Each flight must uphold NetJets' stringent standards, prioritizing safety above all else, followed by a seamless and luxurious travel experience that consistently anticipates and surpasses Owner expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures the safety and security of all Owners and passengers within the aircraft cabin, adhering strictly to the Flight Attendant Manual (FAM), Service Procedures Checklist, Standard Operating Procedures, and all applicable company policies.
- Conducts comprehensive preflight inspections of the aircraft interior, extends a warm and professional welcome to Owners and guests, delivers personalized briefings, and serves as the subject matter expert for all aircraft safety, comfort, and entertainment systems.
- Procures high-quality catering from external vendors as needed, ensuring all items meet luxury standards and align with Owner preferences.
- Delivers an elevated in-flight service experience, encompassing premium beverage and food presentation, turndown service, and meticulous execution of bespoke Owner profiles and detailed service notes.
- Ensures all cabin baggage is stowed correctly and securely in accordance with regulatory and company policies.
- Manages flights for Owners traveling with pets or who permit smoking onboard, maintaining discretion and service excellence throughout.
- Operates effectively within a collaborative team/crew environment, ensuring consistent compliance with all safety and operational protocols. This includes close collaboration with departments such as Owner Services and NetJets Service Representatives to guarantee a seamless experience.
- Serves as a trusted liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) through to safe arrival at the destination, ensuring a seamless and luxurious experience throughout the journey.
- Proactively communicates any cabin-related maintenance concerns or irregularities to the Pilot in Command to facilitate prompt resolution.
- Completes all administrative duties with accuracy and attention to detail, including inventory documentation, service passdowns, and required crew reports.
- Maintains the aircraft cabin in a consistently clean and organized state, adhering to company standards.
- Employs innovative thinking to address complex issues and makes decisive actions in dynamic environments to achieve successful outcomes.
- Undertakes other responsibilities as assigned, depending on specific trip or operational requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in hospitality, customer service, business, or culinary arts, is preferred.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with clarity, professionalism, and poise.
- Proficiency in personal computing, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Physical attributes must not exceed specific aircraft dimensions, such as jump seat, harness compatibility, cabin aisle, and emergency exit clearances.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated exceptional adaptability and the ability to perform effectively in dynamic and fast-changing environments.
- Ability to manage personal rest effectively to prepare for active duty throughout each tour.
- Willingness and ability to travel away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights, with accommodations provided. Flight duty periods may extend up to fourteen (14) hours daily over an eight (8) day period, potentially crossing multiple time zones and varying climate conditions.
- Eligibility to obtain all necessary airport authority and U.S. Customs security credentials.
- Successful completion of all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background screenings and acquisition of required airport and U.S. Customs clearances.
- Possession of a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restriction.
- A valid State-issued driver’s license.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- A highly polished, service-oriented appearance and demeanor, with the ability to create positive first and lasting impressions and engage effectively with Owners.
- Superior oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure or in high-stakes situations.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with acute attention to detail in both technical and service-oriented matters.
- Ability to exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Comfort working around animals, including providing care and attention during and surrounding Owner flights.
- Maintenance of required Flight Attendant certification and FAA compliance post-hire.
- Successful completion of the NetJets Part 135 Flight Attendant Training Program.
