This pivotal role is responsible for the overall performance and productivity of the Flight Attendant group. The Inflight Resource Manager provides essential coaching, guidance, and leadership, cultivating a culture of high performance, collaborative teamwork, and operational excellence while upholding the most stringent safety and service standards. This position involves strategic partnership with key stakeholders to support Flight Attendant performance, optimize resource management, and champion continuous improvement initiatives within the inflight division.
The Manager oversees Flight Attendant performance metrics, ensuring alignment with company objectives and service expectations. This involves conducting coaching and development discussions, providing team members with performance data, and counseling Flight Attendants to consistently deliver exceptional inflight service. Collaboration with Labor Relations is vital for determining necessary actions, including additional training, wellness checks, and both non-disciplinary and disciplinary meetings. The role supports the professional growth of Flight Attendants through guidance on company policies, federal aviation regulations (FARs), and labor agreements.
Partnering with Labor Relations and the Leave of Absence team, the Manager monitors Flight Attendant leave trends, assesses patterns, and addresses potential issues. This position is responsible for managing Flight Attendant resources to optimize scheduling, availability, and operational efficiency, and supports strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing Flight Attendant engagement and retention.
The Inflight Resource Manager collaborates with departmental leaders including the Director, Inflight and Training, BI&A, Scheduling, and Crew Capacity teams to develop and execute the Inflight productivity strategy. This role leads and supports cross-functional projects impacting Flight Attendant operations, engaging with departments such as Owner Services, Scheduling, Operations, Safety, and Training. Maintaining effective relationships with the Flight Attendant Executive Council (FAEC) and Union Representatives on Duty is crucial for resolving issues. The Manager also works with Labor Relations to manage contractual Union/Company Committee relationships between Inflight and the FAEC, driving continuous improvement efforts across inflight operations to enhance efficiency, service, and safety.
