Position Summary
The Inflight Resource Manager holds accountability for the overall performance and productivity of the Flight Attendant group. This critical role provides coaching, guidance, and leadership, cultivating a culture of high performance, collaboration, and operational excellence. The Manager ensures rigorous adherence to the highest safety and service standards while effectively partnering with key stakeholders to support Flight Attendant performance, optimize resource allocation, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Management & Development:
- Manages Flight Attendant performance metrics, ensuring alignment with strategic company goals and service expectations.
- Conducts coaching and development discussions with Flight Attendants, providing essential data to drive performance improvements.
- Coaches and counsels Flight Attendants to achieve a consistently exceptional level of inflight service delivery.
- Collaborates with Labor Relations to determine necessary actions, including coaching, additional training, wellness checks, and both non-disciplinary and disciplinary meetings.
- Supports the professional development of Flight Attendants by providing guidance on company policies, federal aviation regulations (FARs), and labor agreements.
Resource & Leave Management:
- Partners with Labor Relations and the Leave of Absence (LOA) team to monitor Flight Attendant leave trends, assess patterns, and address potential misuse.
- Manages Flight Attendant resources to optimize scheduling, availability, and operational efficiency.
- Supports strategic initiatives focused on enhancing Flight Attendant engagement and retention.
Oversight & Leadership:
- Collaborates with the Director, Inflight and Training, BI&A, Scheduling, and Crew Capacity teams to develop and execute the Inflight productivity strategy.
- Leads and supports projects impacting Flight Attendant operations, working cross-functionally with departments including Owner Services, Scheduling, Operations, Safety, and Training.
- Maintains a productive relationship with the Flight Attendant Executive Council (FAEC) and Union Representatives on Duty to facilitate issue resolution.
- Works with the LMRP Manager in Labor Relations to manage the contractual Union/Company Committee relationships between Inflight and the FAEC.
- Drives continuous improvement efforts across inflight operations to enhance efficiency, service quality, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation or Human Resources required.
Experience:
- A minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience is required.
