Position Purpose
As a brand ambassador for NetJets, the Flight Attendant is responsible for providing an elite and personalized air travel experience while upholding the highest standards of safety and security. The Flight Attendant embodies the pinnacle of private aviation, integrating safety leadership, sophisticated in-flight service, and bespoke hospitality. Every flight must reflect NetJets' stringent standards, prioritizing safety above all else, followed by a seamless and luxurious travel experience designed to anticipate and exceed Owner expectations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and security of all Owners and passengers within the aircraft cabin, adhering strictly to the Flight Attendant Manual (FAM), Service Procedures Checklist, Standard Operating Procedures, and all applicable policies.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-flight interior inspections.
- Welcome Owners and guests with warmth and professionalism.
- Provide personalized briefings and serve as the subject matter expert on aircraft safety, comfort, and entertainment systems.
- Source high-quality catering from external providers as needed, ensuring alignment with luxury standards and Owner preferences.
- Deliver elevated in-flight service, including premium beverage and food presentation, turndown service, and execution of bespoke Owner profiles and detailed service notes.
- Ensure all cabin baggage is stowed correctly and securely in accordance with regulatory and company policies.
- Accommodate flights for Owners traveling with pets or who permit smoking onboard, while maintaining discretion and service excellence.
- Operate effectively within a collaborative team/crew environment, ensuring consistent compliance with all safety and operational protocols. This includes close collaboration with Owner Services, NetJets Service Representatives, and other internal teams to ensure a seamless experience.
- Act as a trusted liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) through safe arrival at their destination, ensuring a seamless and luxurious experience throughout.
- Proactively communicate any cabin-related maintenance concerns or irregularities to the Pilot in Command for prompt resolution.
- Complete all administrative duties accurately and with attention to detail, including inventory documentation, service passdowns, and required crew reports.
- Maintain the aircraft cabin in a consistently clean and organized state, adhering to company standards.
- Apply innovative thinking to address complex issues and make prompt decisions in dynamic environments to drive successful outcomes.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned, dependent on specific trip or operational requirements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with a concentration in hospitality, customer service, business, or culinary arts.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage with clarity, professionalism, and poise.
- Proficient in personal computing, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Body size must not exceed specific aircraft dimensions (e.g., jump seat, harness without modification, cabin aisle and emergency exit).
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated exceptional adaptability and ability to perform in dynamic and fast-changing environments.
- Ability to manage personal rest effectively in preparation for active duty throughout each tour.
- Flight duty periods may last up to fourteen (14) hours daily over an eight (8) day period, potentially crossing multiple time zones and varying climate conditions.
- Willingness and ability to travel away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights, with accommodations provided.
- Eligibility to obtain all necessary airport authority and U.S. Customs security credentials.
- Successful completion of all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background screenings and obtaining required airport and U.S. Customs clearances.
- Possession of a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restriction.
- Hold a valid State-issued driver’s license.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Highly polished, service-oriented appearance and demeanor, with the ability to create positive first and lasting impressions and engage effectively with Owners.
- Superior oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure or in high-stakes situations.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with acute attention to detail in both technical and service-oriented matters.
- Ability to exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Comfort working around animals, including providing care and attention during and surrounding Owner flights.
- Maintenance of required Flight Attendant certification and FAA compliance post-hire.
- Successful completion of the NetJets Part 135 Flight Attendant Training Program.
