Role Summary: Flight Attendant for Lockton Flight Operations

Lockton Flight Operations, a mature and IS-BAO registered business flight organization, is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Corporate Flight Attendant. This unique opportunity centers on the intelligent delivery of a safe, productive, and highly personalized travel experience for clients.

Undergirding this highly responsive FAR Part 91 flight operation is an observable commitment to safety, service, accuracy, humility, and integrity. The Flight Attendant is entrusted with delivering an uncompromising commitment to safety while ensuring that each flight reflects the team’s unwavering commitment to excellence. This results in a seamless, productive travel experience that consistently anticipates and exceeds client expectations.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional flexibility and professionalism, supporting on-call and after-hours flight operations as required. Core responsibilities include:

  • Safety and Compliance: Performing all duties in a safe and ethical manner in accordance with the Lockton Sourcebook, adhering strictly to all flight department guidance, policies, and procedures.
  • Emergency Readiness: Maintaining readiness to assist in, or independently direct, an emergency situation toward a safe and positive outcome.
  • Operational Coordination: Working directly with the Pilot-in-Command (PIC), Second-in-Command (SIC), and the entire flight team on comprehensive trip planning and execution details.
  • VIP Culinary Service: Planning, ordering, shopping, preparing, and serving bespoke meals and beverages. This includes creating and distributing customized trip menus for passengers and crew in advance.
  • Cabin Management: Ensuring the galley, cabin, and lavatory are fully stocked and impeccably maintained. Conducting full VIP cabin service, including setup, meal preparation, delivery, and post-flight cleanup.
  • Logistics and Sourcing: Investigating the suitability of FBOs and surrounding areas for the efficient sourcing of needed cabin supplies.
  • Team Collaboration: Participating in pre and post-flight briefings with assigned pilots, communicating all safety and operational concerns to the crew and leadership, and coordinating specific service needs with the flight attendant team and executive assistants.
  • Department Projects: Assisting in departmental initiatives, which may include cabin experience design, maintenance of passenger preference and allergy lists, and participation in department design, organizational, and growth projects, as assigned by the Director of Aviation and Lead Flight Attendant.

The Flight Attendant must also work in accordance with organizational security policies and procedures, understanding their personal role in safeguarding company and client assets, including digital assets, and taking appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of safety and security within the scope of the position. Additionally, the role involves assisting pilots, maintenance, and other support personnel as required, and participating in in-person team meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience, preferably within the business aviation sector or other equivalent service industries.
  • Must currently reside within, or be willing to relocate to within one (1) hour of the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates demonstrating the following credentials will be highly regarded:

  • Previous formal experience as a Corporate or Business Aviation Flight Attendant.
  • Formal and specialized training specific to business aviation flight attendance.
  • Formal culinary training or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant work experience.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working with formal company aviation operations manuals and safety programs.
  • Proficiency with web-based productivity and communication tools, document design and control, and experience with mobile device applications supporting paperless operations.
