Responsibilities:

The Flight Instruction Associate will provide comprehensive flight and ground instruction, ensuring students gain a thorough understanding of aviation principles and procedures. Responsibilities include:

• Delivering expert instruction on aircraft systems, training maneuvers, procedures, and other flight-related subjects, both in the classroom and during in-flight training sessions.
• Conducting thorough pre-flight and post-flight debriefings to solidify student understanding and comprehension of training materials.
• Maintaining a high quality of flight training with a student pass rate at or above 80%.
• Contributing to the achievement of all Flight Academy goals, including student pass rates, timely student completion, adherence to flight hour limitations, and accurate maintenance of student training records. The associate will also make recommendations to the Group Manager regarding corrective actions when issues arise.
• Proactively managing student schedules to ensure consistent progress throughout the course.
• Adhering to all flight training standards as outlined by both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and L3Harris Flight Academy.
• Ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures detailed within the Operations Manual.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date training records and folders for all assigned students, in accordance with L3Harris Flight Academy and FAA policies.
• Delivering customer-service oriented and professional instruction, adhering to all L3Harris Flight Academy policies.
• Maintaining a full-time work schedule (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
