Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Verify that all safety equipment on aircraft is in optimal working condition.
  • Greet passengers, assist with seating arrangements, carry-on baggage stowage, and security procedures.
  • Clearly explain and demonstrate the use of safety equipment and emergency procedures to passengers.
  • Prepare and serve meals and beverages, including alcoholic drinks.
  • Effectively promote and market onboard products and services, processing sales via a mobile device.
  • Calmly and effectively manage passenger situations during flight, including medical emergencies.
  • Respond to passenger inquiries regarding flight operations and provide destination information.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required to ensure a safe and pleasant flight experience.

Qualifications and Requirements

Application Requirement: All applicants must complete a self-guided voice interview (approximately 30-40 minutes) in a quiet location. This step is crucial for application consideration.

The voice interview must be completed by December 3 at 7:00 PM Pacific Time.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in customer or community service.
  • Unwavering commitment to safety and passenger well-being.
  • Ability to meet specific aircraft dimensional requirements (e.g., jump seat, harness, cabin aisle, emergency exits).
  • Adherence to the company's grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.
  • Demonstrated physical ability to perform all flight attendant duties.
  • Willingness and ability to relocate to any of the company's flight attendant bases: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; Everett, WA.
  • Willingness to serve alcohol.
  • Proficiency in basic computer operations and comfort with technology.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Adaptability to perform diverse duties and maintain effectiveness under stress.
  • Availability to attend and complete a four-week paid training program in Portland, OR.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a current passport with unlimited U.S. travel access. International passport holders must possess appropriate travel documentation. Ability to fly unrestricted into and out of Canada is required.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 21 years old.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Training and Compensation

Starting Rate: USD $0.00/Hr. (as per initial posting)

First-year step rate: $20.66 per hour (as per collective bargaining agreement).

Paid training, lasting four weeks, will be conducted in Portland, OR.

Additional Information

  • Tattoo Policy: Visible tattoos on the face, front of the neck, or chest are prohibited. One tattoo the size of a quarter or smaller is permitted per hand. Tattoos in other areas cannot exceed the size of a credit card or be offensive. Specific guidelines apply to tattoos on arms, legs, feet, back of neck, and behind the ears. Tattoos must be covered by uniform pieces or approved jewelry/watches; makeup is not permitted for coverage.
  • Airport SIDA Badge Requirements: Employees working at an airport or maintenance hangar must obtain and maintain a SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) badge. Failure to qualify for or maintain a SIDA badge will result in termination.
  • Regulatory Compliance: This position is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations regarding drug and alcohol testing. Post-offer and/or pre-employment drug testing is mandatory.
