Flight Attendant - Horizon Air

As the primary representative of Horizon Air, affiliated with Alaska Airlines, the Flight Attendant serves as an authentic and gracious host. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures full understanding and compliance with all aviation safety regulations.
- Verifies the operational readiness of all safety equipment aboard the aircraft.
- Welcomes passengers, assists with seating, carry-on baggage storage, and maintains cabin security.
- Clearly explains and demonstrates the use of safety equipment and emergency procedures.
- Prepares and serves meals and beverages, including alcoholic options.
- Effectively markets and processes sales for onboard products using a mobile device.
- Manages and resolves passenger situations calmly during flight, including medical emergencies.
- Provides information regarding flight operations and destination details.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to support cabin operations and passenger comfort.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of documented customer or community service experience.
- Unwavering commitment to safety as the top priority.
- Physical ability to meet specific aircraft dimension requirements for jump seat, harness usage, aisle navigation, and emergency exits without modification.
- Capability to meet and maintain the company's grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.
- Demonstrated physical ability to perform all duties required of a Flight Attendant.
- Willingness and ability to relocate to any of the assigned flight attendant bases: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; Everett, WA.
- Willingness to serve alcohol onboard.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with technology use.
- Flexibility to work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
- Adaptability to perform diverse duties effectively under potentially stressful conditions.
- Ability to attend and successfully complete four weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain and maintain, a current passport granting unlimited access into and out of the United States. Appropriate travel documentation for non-U.S. passports is required. Must be able to fly unrestricted in and out of Canada.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum age of 21 years old at the time of application.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Additional Details:
- Applicants may be required to complete an audio assessment as part of the application process.
- Training is paid and mandatory, held in Portland, OR, for four weeks.
- Tattoo Policy: No visible tattoos are permitted on the face, front of the neck, or chest. One tattoo the size of a quarter or smaller is allowed per hand. Tattoos on other areas must not exceed the size of a credit card and must not be offensive. A maximum of one tattoo is allowed per arm, leg, foot, back of neck, or behind each ear. Tattoos on the back of the neck and behind the ears must not be visible when viewed directly. Tattoos may only be covered by a uniform piece or approved jewelry/watch; covering with makeup is not permitted.
Compensation & Benefits:
- This is a union-represented position with pay determined by the collective bargaining agreement.
- The first-year step rate is $20.66 per contract hour.

Important Regulatory Information:
- Airport SIDA Badge Requirements: This position requires obtaining and maintaining an Airport SIDA badge. Failure to qualify for or maintain the badge may result in termination.
