Airline Pilot (Second in Command)
Job Overview
An esteemed aviation organization is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Second in Command Pilot. This crucial role involves the safe and efficient transport of passengers, mail, or freight for commercial purposes. The pilot will be responsible for all phases of flight, encompassing pre-flight duties, safe flight conduct, and comprehensive post-flight responsibilities. Adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA), company flight procedures, and established company policies is paramount for ensuring flight safety on all scheduled routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Second in Command in the transport of passengers, mail, freight, or for other commercial purposes.
- Execute all aspects of flight operations, including pre-flight preparations, adherence to required paperwork and restrictions, the conduct of safe flights, and all post-flight duties.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA), Company Flight Procedures, and Company Policies on all scheduled flights and routes.
- Prioritize and maintain the safety of flight in all operational activities.
Qualifications
- Possession of 200 hours of FAA-approved Prior Qualifying Time to serve as Pilot in Command in Part 121 operations, as stipulated by FAR § 121.436(a)(3). Applicants must provide verifiable proof of obtaining this flight time. All prior qualifying time will be meticulously verified in pilot logbooks by the System Chief Pilot and/or the Director of Operations during the interview process.
- Alternatively, candidates must possess 200 hours of experience as a Second in Command at a Part 121 carrier, as per FAR § 121.436(a)(3).
