Job Title: Pilot – Second in Command (SIC), B737-600NG

We are seeking a highly qualified professional to serve as Second in Command (SIC) for the B737-600NG. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring the security of passengers, crew, and cargo while adhering to all regulatory and company mandates.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Pilot the aircraft for the transport of passengers and cargo.
  • Assist the Pilot in Command (PIC) and assume command responsibilities in the event of PIC incapacitation.
  • Ensure the comprehensive safety of passengers, crew, cargo, and the aircraft.
  • Operate as Pilot Flying (PF) or Pilot Monitoring (PM), executing all specified flight deck duties.
  • Maintain strict compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and Air Traffic Control (ATC) directives.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight preparations, including review of maintenance logs, flight routes, weather reports, NOTAMs, and pilot information files.
  • Maintain operational knowledge of FARs, AIM, FCOM, FCTM, QRH, SPM, and the Company FOM.
  • Perform precise calculations for aircraft weight, balance, and takeoff/landing data.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Current US DOT/FAA First Class Medical Certificate (EKG required for candidates over 39).
  • US DOT/FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a B737 Type rating (no restrictions).
  • Active US DOD TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Current US DHS/TSA LAS airport badge.
  • Proof of citizenship (US Passport or valid US Birth Certificate).
  • Valid US state-issued Driver’s License.
  • Minimum of 1,500 total in-seat flight hours as a crewmember in fixed-wing powered aircraft.
  • Must satisfy all US DOT 14 CFR requirements (Parts 60, 61, 67, 117, 120, and 121), including the age 65 limit.
  • Ability to maintain training and checking currency per company policy and 14 CFR Part 121.

Work Environment and Demands

The role is performed within a cockpit environment characterized by limited space, high noise levels, and varying temperatures. Pilots may experience physical and mental stress related to flight operations, turbulence, and high-sensory environments. The position is primarily sedentary but requires physical agility for cockpit operation, climbing, bending, and stretching.

Compensation and Benefits

This position is governed by a union collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with a starting hourly rate of $50.11.
