Job Title: Second In Command (SIC)
Position Summary
The Second In Command (SIC) reports administratively to the Chief Pilot and functionally to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during flight operations. The SIC is responsible for assisting the PIC in ensuring the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Essential Functions

Execute safe and efficient flight operations for domestic trip assignments under Part 135 regulations while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Strictly adhere to the duties and responsibilities outlined in all company procedure manuals.

Maintain a current first-class medical certificate and promptly notify the company of any physical or mental condition that may impair flight performance.

Demonstrate professionalism, crew coordination, and leadership.

Manage passenger-facing duties, including greeting, seating assistance, luggage storage, and conducting safety briefings.

Respond effectively to passenger requests and needs.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
-
ATP complete.
-
FAA First Class Medical certificate.

Minimum of 2,000 hours Total Time (Fixed Wing).

Minimum of 250 hours Multi-Engine Time.
-
Valid Passport and ability to obtain/maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada.

Appropriate Type Rating.

Working knowledge of Part 135 Federal Aviation Regulations.

Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and international flight operations regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications/data entry.

Authorization to work lawfully in the United States (must provide two forms of Federal identification).

Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check and pre-employment/random drug and alcohol testing as a safety-sensitive role under FAA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications

At least 2,500 hours Total Time (Fixed Wing).

At least 500 hours Multi-Engine Time.

Type rated in a Challenger or Regional Jet.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work environment includes loud noise (machinery/jet engines), outdoor/hangar settings, and tight business aircraft interiors.

Travel is required 100% while on rotation; exposure to extreme temperatures may occur.

Must be able to see and hear clearly and communicate effectively in English.

Physical requirements include the ability to climb, twist, bend, crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl, and move in tight quarters.

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Ability to regularly push/pull up to 70 pounds and lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance in adherence to company uniform standards.
