Role Overview
This recruitment encompasses both Alaska Airlines Flight Attendant and Hawaiian Airlines Flight Attendant positions. Applicants have the option to apply for Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, or both during the application process. Please note that base location preferences cannot be guaranteed; candidates must be willing to accept any offered base location by the selected company.

Key Responsibilities
- Safety Assurance: Adhere to all safety regulations, ensure aircraft safety equipment is operational, and execute emergency procedures when necessary. Maintain personal safety and that of fellow crewmembers in flight, airport terminals, and during layovers. Calmly manage passenger situations, including emergencies.
- Policy Adherence and Guest Satisfaction: Understand and execute all onboard duties according to company policies and procedures. Demonstrate empowerment to make exceptions that enhance the guest experience.
- Compassionate Service: Cultivate an exceptional and inclusive experience for guests and colleagues through empathy and kindness.
- Performance Excellence: Consistently focus on safe and on-time performance. Proficiently utilize inflight mobile devices for duty completion, service flow management, and elite guest recognition.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Conduct oneself professionally as a brand representative during work hours, while in uniform, and on social media.
Qualifications and Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service or community service experience.
- Ability to reach 82 vertical inches without shoes.
- Comfortable participating in emergency training in a swimming pool with a life vest and in water during an inflight emergency.
- Ability to secure oneself safely in a jump seat with a harness and move expeditiously through the cabin in all situations.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse environmental conditions, including varying climates, gravitational forces, and cabin pressurization levels. Must be able to stand for extended periods (4-17 hours) and perform tasks involving stooping, twisting, pulling, and pushing cabin equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Willingness and ability to serve alcohol.
- Basic proficiency in using mobile device technology.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays for multiple days, and work a varied schedule encompassing nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- US citizenship or legal alien status with the right to work in the United States.
- Possession of a current US passport or a non-US passport with appropriate documentation for unlimited international travel, with at least six months of validity remaining at the time of employment. Travel documents must remain valid throughout training and employment.
- Minimum age of 21 years at the time of application.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including drug testing and background checks.
- Current employees must be in good standing and have been in their current role for at least 1 year.
Hawaiian Airlines Specific Requirements:
- Ability to attend an 8-week FAA-approved, unpaid intensive training program in Honolulu.
- Must meet Hawaiian Airlines' uniform and appearance standards.
- Ability to relocate and/or work from any current or future Hawaiian Airlines flight attendant base, including Honolulu, HI, and Los Angeles, CA.
- Completion and successful passing of a tuberculosis (TB) test.
Alaska Airlines Specific Requirements:
- Ability to attend a 6-week FAA-approved, unpaid intensive training program in Seattle.
- Must meet Alaska Airlines' uniform and appearance standards.
- Ability to relocate and/or work from any current or future Alaska Airlines flight attendant base, including Los Angeles, CA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; San Diego, CA; Anchorage, AK; and San Francisco, CA.

Compensation and Benefits
Starting Rate:

Salary Details:
- Alaska Airlines Seniority List Pay: First-year step rate is $32.00 per contract.
- Hawaiian Airlines Seniority List Pay: First-year step rate is $28.96 per contract.

Airport SIDA Badge Requirements:
Employees working at airports or maintenance hangars must obtain and maintain an airport-issued SIDA badge. Failure to qualify for or maintain a SIDA badge will result in termination of employment.
