The Opportunity: Flight Attendant

Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring Safety and Compliance: The Flight Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of passenger safety and confidence at cruising altitude. This includes rigorously performing FAA safety procedures, conducting thorough pre-flight equipment checks, expertly operating aircraft doors and exits, and ensuring full compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Delivering Premier Customer Service: This role requires the provision of exceptional, people-first service to Frontier's valued passengers. The Flight Attendant will offer friendly support, demonstrate clear communication, efficiently resolve issues, and extend warm hospitality throughout the entire travel experience.
- Efficient Cabin Operations: Responsibilities extend to the smooth operation of the aircraft cabin, encompassing galley setup, efficient beverage and snack service, managing onboard sales, making clear public address announcements, and maintaining an organized, service-ready environment.
- Emergency Preparedness and Leadership: The Flight Attendant must remain poised and prepared for all situations, including administering CPR and first aid, actively supporting emergency and security procedures, assisting with evacuations, and providing calm, confident leadership during critical moments.
Your Journey with Frontier: Training & Career Progression
- Comprehensive Training: New hires will undergo 3.5 weeks of immersive, unpaid training, with lodging and meals provided. This comprehensive program prepares individuals for all in-flight safety and service operations, culminating in the Initial Operating Experience (IOE) required for full certification as a Frontier Flight Attendant.
- Career Progression: Upon certification, Flight Attendants may initially serve on Reserve. Frontier Airlines prides itself on offering one of the industry's shortest reserve timelines, facilitating a quicker transition to a regular schedule.
- Base Assignments & Seniority: This role supports multiple U.S. locations. New Flight Attendants are assigned to one of Frontier's 13 bases, determined by business needs and seniority. As Frontier expands, seniority movement is expected to increase, offering greater schedule flexibility and opportunities for base transfers.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for a Frontier Airlines Flight Attendant possesses the following essential qualifications:
- A valid passport book with a minimum of 14 months of remaining validity, enabling international travel.
- Must be 20 years of age or older to commence the interview process.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential.
- A minimum of six months of customer service or guest-facing experience (e.g., hospitality, retail, food service, call center, or similar roles).
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Demonstrated superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adherence to a professional appearance standard, with no visible hand, neck, or face tattoos.
- Proven ability to excel both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Comfort and proficiency in assisting passengers within fast-paced, dynamic operational settings.
Physical Requirements
This demanding yet rewarding role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including but not limited to:
- Standing for extended periods and moving safely within a pressurized aircraft cabin.
- The ability to lift and stow bags weighing 35-50 lbs, and to push/pull galley carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Reaching overhead up to 67 inches and proficiently operating aircraft doors, window exits, and emergency equipment.
- The capacity to listen for, hear, and respond promptly to chimes, public address announcements, call buttons, and crew instructions.
- Performing physical tasks such as bending, balancing, and repetitive motions while providing passenger assistance.
- Securely fastening into a jumpseat using standard belts and harnesses without extensions.
