Position Summary
The Frontier Airlines Flight Attendant is a key team member responsible for upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and comfort for all passengers. This role is central to the in-flight experience, requiring a professional who provides outstanding customer service, addresses passenger needs, and ensures adherence to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and company regulations. The Flight Attendant is trained to respond effectively to any in-flight emergencies or security concerns while creating a welcoming and positive environment onboard.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all Federal Aviation Regulations and Frontier Airlines policies and procedures.
- Conduct pre-flight safety checks of all cabin emergency equipment.
- Ensure the safety and security of the cabin during all phases of flight, including boarding and deplaning.
- Manage the proper stowage of carry-on luggage.
- Perform safety demonstrations and provide clear, concise instructions to passengers.
- Prepare and secure aircraft doors for departure and arrival, making necessary announcements via the public address system.
- Offer and sell onboard products, including snacks and beverages, and manage transactions and inventory.
- Provide emergency medical assistance, including CPR and basic first aid, as necessary.
- Maintain a professional, positive attitude and composure at all times.
- Participate in and comply with all DOT, FAA, and company regulations regarding drug and alcohol compliance.
Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 20 years of age to enter the interview process.
- A valid passport with the ability to travel unrestricted to all international destinations served by Frontier Airlines is required.
- Willingness to relocate to an assigned base location.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts, often with short notice.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently is mandatory.
- Previous customer service experience of one to two years is preferred.
- Must maintain a neat, professional appearance and adhere to the company's uniform and appearance guidelines, including a strict tattoo policy. Tattoos may not be visible on the hands or anywhere above the collar bone. Tattoos that may become briefly exposed during the normal course of duties (e.g., on the forearm or ankle) must be conservatively covered with waterproof makeup that matches the individual's skin tone.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- The work environment is a fast-paced, physically demanding aircraft cabin with varying climate conditions, turbulence, and confined spaces.
- The role requires frequent walking, bending, reaching into overhead compartments, and the ability to be secured in a jump seat without extensions.
- Must possess the physical strength to operate all emergency equipment, including aircraft doors and window exits.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull objects, including beverage carts weighing up to 100 pounds and luggage weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must have sufficient vision and hearing to perform all essential functions safely and respond to cabin alerts and passenger needs.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting hourly rate for this position is $25.50.
