Position Summary
Eastern Air Express seeks a service-oriented and professional Flight Attendant to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will embody the values and culture of the company, ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical in providing a safe, comfortable, and positive travel experience for all passengers.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in comprehensive pre-flight briefings to ensure a coordinated and safe flight operation.
- Conduct thorough safety checks and prepare the aircraft cabin for passenger boarding.
- Manage and verify on-board inventory, including food, beverages, and other supplies, and process payments or restock reports as needed.
- Deliver clear and professional announcements, greet passengers, verify boarding passes, and provide assistance with baggage stowage.
- Perform safety demonstrations and instruct passengers on the use of emergency equipment and exit row requirements.
- Ensure passenger compliance with all federal aviation regulations during all phases of flight, including take-off and landing.
- Respond effectively to in-flight emergencies by providing direction, administering first aid, and completing all required incident reports.
- Maintain courtesy and respect when interacting with all customers, vendors, and team members.
- Complete and submit required forms, reports, and administrative paperwork in a timely manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the flight leadership team.
Qualification Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or a higher level of education.
- Authorization to work legally in the United States is required.
- A valid US Passport with at least six months of validity remaining is mandatory.
- Must possess and maintain a personal cell phone for communication.
- Ability to fluently speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment DOT drug test, subsequent random drug and alcohol screenings, and a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
- Previous customer service experience is required; experience in hospitality or retail is highly preferred.
- Must be able to serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with regulations.
- Must hold valid travel documents and have no impediments to entering international destinations, including Canada.
- Availability to work at least eighteen (18) days per month, including variable schedules, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The candidate must be able to be away from their home base for extended periods.
- Must successfully complete and pass Initial Flight Attendant training and subsequent Operational Experience.
Physical and Professional Standards
- Ability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capacity to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, stretch, and bend for extended periods, potentially up to 14 hours or more.
- Must maintain a polished, professional, and conservative appearance at all times while on duty.
- No visible tattoos or body piercings are permitted while in uniform.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic work environment.
- The candidate must reside within a two-hour commute of Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport (GRK).
