Solairus Aviation is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated full-time Flight Attendant for a large-cabin jet, specifically the Gulfstream G650ER, based at Palm Beach, FL (PBI). Applicants are required to have a minimum of three years of experience as a private jet flight attendant, with a strong preference for individuals demonstrating extensive experience with large-cabin aircraft.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The Flight Attendant will be responsible for a comprehensive range of duties, ensuring an unparalleled travel experience for all passengers:

  • Provide an exceptional level of service to clients, prioritizing the safety, comfort, and well-being of all passengers during flights.
  • Efficiently direct and assist passengers during emergency situations, maintaining composure and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Administer basic first aid, including CPR, AED, and general first aid, to passengers in distress. Secure the cabin meticulously in compliance with federal regulations before take-off and landing.
  • Offer reassurance to passengers during periods of turbulence or other unsettling flight conditions.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight briefings to inform passengers of safety procedures and cabin features.
  • Oversee the stocking and inventory of all in-flight necessities, including food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, and emergency equipment, ensuring sufficiency for each trip and passenger count.
  • Fulfill special requests by passengers, including sourcing and purchasing specific items for their flight.
  • Maintain the pristine condition of the aircraft interior by inspecting, cleaning, and stocking the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each leg, ensuring constant readiness for subsequent flights.
  • Perform periodic cabin checks to guarantee ongoing passenger comfort and maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Accurately complete all required pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation.
  • Proficiently operate on-board audio and video entertainment systems.

Qualifications

Candidates for this distinguished position must meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Possession of a current First Aid Training Certification.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
  • Flight attendant-specific training from reputable institutions such as FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar programs is highly preferred; annual recurrent training is mandatory.
    • Candidates lacking formal initial flight attendant training may be considered based on other robust qualifications but must complete initial flight attendant training prior to flight assignment.
    • Preference will be extended to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training within the past twelve (12) months.
  • Proficiency in using modern technology and cabin management systems.
  • Exceptional flexibility and patience, capable of adapting to dynamic schedules and unforeseen changes.
  • Proven culinary skills complemented by culinary-specific training.
  • Ability to effectively manage a constantly changing schedule, including late-night flights.
  • Availability to fly on short notice, requiring a 2-3 hour response time when on standby.
  • Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide, with consideration for health and visa status.
  • Capability to deploy for missions lasting up to sixteen (16) consecutive days.
  • Expertise in operating all features of Cabin Management Systems (CMS).
  • Proficiency in operating all galley equipment.
  • Skill in operating all cabin features, including berthing seats and configuring divans into beds.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, demonstrating discretion and professionalism.
  • A high degree of attention to detail in all aspects of service and operations.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Fluency in one or more foreign languages is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements and Certifications

The role requires specific physical capabilities to ensure safe and effective performance:

  • Seeing: Vision must be correctable to 20/20 or better with corrective lenses. Uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/20. The ability to read reports, charts, manage post-flight paperwork, and effectively use computers, smartphones, and tablet devices is essential.
  • Hearing/Speaking: Must possess clear verbal communication skills. Adequate hearing is required to communicate effectively over the phone and in person with clients, co-workers, and pilots, even within the aircraft environment during flight.
  • Standing/Walking: Must be physically capable of walking and standing unassisted, including the ability to stand for up to 14 hours with limited opportunities to sit. The role requires working long hours in diverse climates.
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Must be able to kneel in the luggage compartment to load trip supplies and passenger luggage, and maneuver comfortably within tight confines of the aircraft cabin.
  • Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Must be able to exert force to push open/pull closed the main cabin door (up to 130 pounds). The ability to write, type, operate computer and phone systems, prepare/cook, and serve food and beverages is necessary. Candidates must be able to repeatedly lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist height.
