Role Responsibilities:
As a Flight Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of passengers onboard our aircraft. This includes:
Safety and Security:
- Enforcing all Federal Aviation Regulations and Frontier Airlines policies and procedures.
- Conducting preflight safety checks of cabin emergency equipment.
- Ensuring proper loading and storage of carry-on luggage.
- Maintaining cabin safety and security during all phases of flight.
- Providing instruction and demonstration of onboard safety features.
- Responding to inflight emergencies or security concerns.
Customer Service:
- Greeting and assisting passengers with questions and concerns.
- Providing onboard product information and sales.
- Ensuring passenger comfort and satisfaction.
Operational Duties:
- Preparing and securing doors for departure and arrival.
- Announcing flight information over the PA system.
- Setting up and managing the galley and beverage/snack service.
- Providing emergency medical assistance, if required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 20 years of age to begin the interview process.
- 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Valid passport required, with the ability to travel in and out of the United States and to all current and future international destinations served by Frontier Airlines.
- Must present a neat professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to Frontier Inflight uniform and appearance guidelines (tattoo restrictions apply).
- Willingness to relocate to the Denver base location.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts when needed.
- Ability to travel for extended periods.
- Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and demands.
- Willingness to fly both international and domestic routes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English (reading, speaking, and writing).
- Ability to communicate effectively with passengers in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or 60 pounds frequently.
- Ability to sit securely in jump seats without the use of seatbelt extensions.
Work Environment:
- Subject to varying climate conditions, air turbulence, changing locations, variable hours, dry air, noise levels from engines and other equipment, dim lighting, and confined spaces.
- Fast-paced and physically demanding work environment.
- Shift hours vary, including days, weekends, evenings, red-eyes, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent repetitive motions, including bending at the waist and knees for extended periods.
- 20/20 vision and hearing required to perform job duties.
- Ability to hear and respond to onboard chime systems, call buttons, announcements, and directions given over intercom and PA systems.
- Ability to stand for most of the work shift.
- Ability to perform in-flight duties while in a pressurized cabin for extended periods.
- Possession of the physical strength to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits.
- Ability to operate door and window exits in manual and emergency modes.
- Ability to push/pull/move a galley cart weighing 100 lbs.
- Moderate physical activity required, handling objects up to 50 lbs occasionally and/or 35 lbs frequently.
- Ability to lift a 35 lb luggage piece from the floor to a passenger seat (33 inches) and from a passenger seat to an overhead compartment (67 inches).
- Ability to reach into overhead compartments with a height of 67 inches and depth of 28 inches.
- Ability to be properly secured in the cabin jump seat using the safety belt and shoulder harness without the use of seatbelt extensions.
- Ability to balance and reach across seats to serve passengers.
Supervision Received:
General direction is provided. You will typically receive little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments.
