Frontier Airlines Flight Attendant
Frontier Airlines seeks a dedicated and customer-focused Flight Attendant to ensure the safety, security, and comfort of passengers onboard its aircraft. The Flight Attendant plays a vital role in providing excellent customer service through passenger interaction, addressing concerns, and selling onboard products. They must adhere to all established FAA and Frontier guidelines to ensure passenger comfort and safety, and respond to inflight emergencies or security concerns should they arise.
Essential Functions:
- Adheres to all Federal Aviation Regulations and established Frontier Airlines policies and procedures.
- Initiates and conducts emergency cabin evacuations when necessary.
- Conducts preflight safety checks of cabin emergency equipment.
- Ensures proper loading and secure storage of carry-on luggage before and during flights.
- Maintains cabin safety and security during all phases of flight, including boarding and deplaning.
- Prepares and secures doors, announcing departure/arrival information to passengers via the PA system.
- Provides instruction and demonstrations of onboard safety features.
- Sets up the galley, checks supplies, stows beverage and snack carts, and verifies inventory.
- Sells snacks and beverages (including alcohol), collects and stows service items inflight and before landing, and informs passengers of onboard products.
- Provides emergency medical assistance, including CPR and basic first aid.
- Projects and maintains a positive attitude and composure consistently.
- Performs tasks requiring frequent walking, bending, and reaching.
- Maintains dependability and commitment to completing work assignments according to Frontier Airlines policies.
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to uniform and appearance guidelines while in public view.
- Participates in and complies with all DOT, FAA, and Frontier Airlines regulations regarding drug and alcohol compliance for safety-sensitive transportation employees.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be at least 20 years of age to begin the interview process.
- One to two years of customer service experience is preferred.
- A valid passport is required, with the ability to travel in and out of the United States, and to all current and future international destinations served by Frontier Airlines.
- Must present a neat and professional appearance, adhering to Frontier Inflight uniform and appearance guidelines. Tattoos on the hands or above the collar bone are prohibited. Other tattoos must never be visible while in uniform and must not be covered with bandages or compression sleeves.
- Must be willing to relocate to the assigned base location.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
- Must be willing to travel for extended periods as required by the job.
- Must be willing to adapt to meet job demands, including accepting schedule changes on short notice.
- Must be willing to fly both international and domestic routes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and communicate fluently in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with and reassure passengers in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
- Ability to work independently as a leader and collaboratively as a team member among fellow employees and passengers.
- Ability to lift, push and/or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or up to 60 pounds frequently.
- Ability to sit and be secured with a seatbelt and shoulder harness in all jump seats without a seatbelt extension or modification to the jump seat.
Equipment Operated:
Beverage/snack carts, galley equipment, POS devices/systems, flight stairs, aircraft cabin equipment including doors, and emergency equipment.
Work Environment:
The work environment is subject to varying climate conditions, air turbulence, changing locations, variable hours, dry air, noise levels from engines and other equipment, dim lighting, and confined spaces. The role is typically fast-paced and physically demanding, with work shifts/hours varying to include days, weekends, evenings, red-eyes, and holidays.
Physical Effort:
The role requires frequent repetitive motions, including bending, and the ability to stand throughout most of the work shift. Must have sufficient vision and hearing to safely perform the essential functions of the position. The Flight Attendant must be able to operate emergency equipment and exits, push/pull/move a galley cart weighing 100 lbs, and lift luggage up to 35 lbs (occasionally heavier).
Compensation:
The hourly rate is $25.50 per hour.
