Flight Attendant
Freight Runners Express / Air Charter Express (FRE/ACE), a Part 135 airline operating from Milwaukee for over 40 years, is seeking dedicated and professional Flight Attendants for full-time positions. Candidates may be entry-level or possess prior Part 135 or 121 flight attendant experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures the highest level of safety and comfort for passengers.
- Conducts pre and post-flight aircraft inspections, including internal safety checks.
- Stocks and cleans the aircraft cabin.
- Assists passengers with baggage loading.
- Delivers safety briefings and public address announcements covering emergency exits, flotation devices, oxygen mask usage, and seatbelt procedures.
- Secures all cabin items, including doors, carts, and galley modules.
- Provides in-flight service, distributing snacks, drinks, and meals to passengers.
- Manages inventory of cabin service items at the conclusion of flights.
- Enforces and advises passengers on safety instructions and regulations.
- Performs specific duties and follows procedures diligently in emergency situations.
- Requires flexibility for frequent overnight travel and varying trip lengths, typically ranging from 4 to 14 hours per day.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Part 135, 121, or 91 flight attendant is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must possess a valid United States passport at the time of application, with no exceptions.
- Legally eligible to work within the United States and capable of unrestricted international travel.
- Maximum height of 5'9" due to aircraft cabin height limitations.
- Must own a reliable mobile phone.
- Requires dependable personal transportation.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and nights, often with minimal advance notice.
- Maintains a professional image and excellent personal grooming to consistently represent the company positively.
- Capable of sitting and/or standing in an aircraft cabin for periods of up to 4 hours or longer.
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills and the ability to meticulously follow directions and procedures to ensure passenger safety and comfort.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Capable of quickly memorizing and retaining large amounts of information.
- Must not have visible tattoos or facial piercings.
- Proficiency in reading, speaking, and understanding the English language.
- Successful completion of a 10-year background check, FBI fingerprint check, and pre-employment and random FAA/DOT drug and alcohol testing is required.
- Must not have been convicted of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (OWI/DUI) within the past 10 years.
- Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Milwaukee area (within a 30-minute drive of General Mitchell International Airport).
Compensation & Benefits:
- First-year average compensation, including extra pay and per-diem, is approximately $58,000.
- Base Salary: $46,200.
- Per Diem: $2.83 per hour for domestic travel and $5.50 per hour for international travel, calculated for each hour or portion thereof away from base.
- Additional pay based on nautical miles flown.
