Aviation Instructor Job Description
This position requires a qualified and motivated individual to deliver comprehensive aviation instruction to clients engaged in core, specialty, or enrichment training courses. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring client satisfaction and exceeding expectations through effective training and development.
Essential Qualifications:
- Pilot Certification: Possess an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or an equivalent Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) issued by an International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) member state.
- Alternative Certification: If an ATP is not held, the candidate must meet the requirements outlined in 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 61.153 and 14 CFR Part 61.64, excluding any Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitations.
- Drug and Alcohol Testing: Must be willing and able to participate in the company's Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug and Alcohol testing program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction Delivery: Conduct pilot ground and simulator training for clients, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the course material.
- Curriculum Development: Develop and prepare high-quality training materials that align with the client's needs and the applicable curriculum.
- Performance Evaluation: Evaluate and measure trainee progress, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for qualification or additional training as required.
