Flight Instructor - Rotorcraft
FlightSafety International, the world's premier professional aviation training company, is seeking an experienced Flight Instructor to join their team in West Palm Beach, Florida.
About the Role:
The Flight Instructor is a critical role responsible for delivering exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction to a diverse clientele. This individual will utilize their extensive aviation expertise to ensure trainees receive top-tier instruction aligned with aviation regulations and FlightSafety's renowned training principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct engaging and effective ground and simulator training sessions for pilots participating in core, specialty, and enrichment courses.
- Develop and refine training materials that cater to specific client needs and comply with applicable curriculum standards.
- Evaluate trainee progress meticulously, providing constructive feedback and recommending them for qualification or suggesting additional training as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate training records for each client, contributing directly to their successful achievement of training objectives.
- Proactively identify and address any client training challenges, seeking timely assistance and solutions.
- Maintain personal Instructor qualifications in accordance with regulatory requirements, ensuring ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- This position requires significant previous rotorcraft experience.
- Unrestricted ATP certificate or an ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License is required.
- Candidates without an ATP certificate must fulfill the requirements outlined in 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64, excluding any Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitations.
- At least one unrestricted PIC type rating is mandatory.
- Experience within FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training environments is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 2,500 hours of total flight time is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of aviation safety standards, practices, and common regulations.
- Proven ability to manage classes effectively and employ engaging teaching methods.
- Strong facilitation and customer service skills, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Openness to coaching, feedback, and continuous professional development.
