The Opportunity
The Flight Instructor plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of aviators by delivering exceptional ground and simulator training to a diverse clientele. This role demands a deep understanding of aviation regulations, a passion for teaching, and unwavering commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective ground and simulator training courses tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Develop and refine training materials to ensure alignment with the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate trainee progress, provide constructive feedback, and recommend appropriate training pathways to ensure successful qualification.
- Maintain meticulous training records for each client, meticulously documenting their progress and achievements.
- Proactively identify and address any training challenges, collaborating with colleagues to find optimal solutions.
- Remain current with all regulatory requirements and maintain all necessary Instructor qualifications.
Qualifications
- Unrestricted ATP certificate or an equivalent Airline Transport Pilot License from an ICAO member state.
- In lieu of an ATP certificate, candidates must meet the requirements outlined in 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation.
- Minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating.
- A strong understanding of aviation safety standards and practices.
- Proven ability to effectively manage classes and deliver impactful instruction.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training environments.
- A minimum of 2,500 hours of total flight time.
