The Opportunity
The Flight Instructor plays a critical role in delivering exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction, adhering to stringent aviation regulations and FlightSafety's renowned training principles. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of aviation by molding the skills of the next generation of pilots.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective ground and simulator training to clients across core, specialty, and enrichment courses.
- Develop and refine training materials that meet evolving client needs while aligning with the established curriculum.
- Evaluate trainee progress through rigorous assessment, recommending qualification or identifying areas requiring additional training.
- Maintain meticulous training records for each client, ensuring accurate documentation of their progress and achievements.
- Proactively identify potential training challenges and collaborate with the team to develop solutions.
- Maintain Instructor qualifications in accordance with regulatory requirements, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Unrestricted ATP certificate or an equivalent ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License.
- In lieu of an ATP certificate, candidates must fulfill the requirements outlined in 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64 (without a Supervised Operating Experience limitation).
- A minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating.
- Willingness to participate in FlightSafety's DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training environments.
- 2,500 hours of total flight time.

- Proven ability to effectively manage classes and deliver engaging instruction.
- Strong facilitation and customer service skills.
- Receptiveness to coaching and feedback, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements
This position demands physical dexterity and a specific range of motion necessary to operate simulator controls effectively. Candidates must be able to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 25 pounds and work comfortably in a dynamic environment with potential exposure to various weather conditions and noise levels.
