Position Summary

Executive Jet Management seeks a highly qualified Pilot in Command for an EMB-550 Praetor aircraft based in Evansville, Indiana (EVV). This is a two-pilot account operating under Part 91 regulations, averaging approximately 250 flight hours annually. The typical schedule involves predominantly single-day trips with occasional overnights, planned well in advance, primarily on weekdays. The position requires the pilot to reside within driving distance of EVV airport and is not commutable. The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated safely, compliantly, and efficiently, while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience in adherence to all company and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The Pilot in Command is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of flights, delivering exceptional service, and maintaining proficiency and compliance. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring crew and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Completing necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
  • Leading required briefings using the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
  • Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as needed.
  • Acting as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
  • Performing comprehensive aircraft pre-flight checks, including maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness. Recording all aircraft discrepancies per company SOPs.
  • Monitoring and overseeing all aircraft ground servicing (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) to ensure compliance with SOPs.
  • Conducting passenger briefings according to company policy and regulations. Providing the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special passenger needs.
  • Effectively utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all phases of flight.
  • Providing quality service to owners and passengers, actively seeking opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and resolving service deviations.
  • Collaborating with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent and positive service experience, resolving conflicts and challenges effectively.
  • Maintaining all required regulatory and company training and ensuring recency of experience.
  • Complying with the company SMS program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.

Qualifications and Requirements

Certifications and Licenses:

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (EMB-550 Praetor) preferred.

Experience:

  • 4-6 years of aviation experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.

Minimum Flight Time Requirements:

  • Total flight time: 3500 hours
  • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
  • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
  • PIC MEL: 500 hours
  • Instrument: 300 hours
  • Jet: 500 hours

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
