Pilot in Command - EMB-550
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company and a pioneer in aircraft management since 1977, is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command for an EMB-550 aircraft based in Evansville, Indiana (EVV). This position involves flying Part 91, averaging 250 hours annually. Trips are typically single-day, with some overnights, and are scheduled well in advance, primarily on weekdays. This is a non-commutable position, requiring the pilot to reside within driving distance of EVV airport. A relocation benefit may be available.
The Pilot in Command (PIC) has the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated safely, compliantly, and efficiently. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while providing an exceptional service experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensures the safe operation of flight, including compliant crewing and trip assignments.
- Completes flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, ensuring mission capability and recording discrepancies.
- Monitors and ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (fueling, oil, oxygen) are accomplished per SOPs.
- Completes passenger briefings, delivers superior customer service, and meets special passenger needs.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Provides quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the Executive Jet Management service experience and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborates with crew members and internal partners to provide a consistent service experience and resolves conflicts acceptably.
- Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company SMS program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns.
Certifications and Licenses:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- First Class Medical Certificate
Years of Experience:
4-6 years of experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in EMB-550.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
