Purpose of the Position:
As the Pilot in Command, the successful candidate will hold final responsibility for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional service while adhering to all company and regulatory requirements. The position is based in Evansville, Indiana, requiring the pilot to reside within driving distance of EVV airport. The aircraft operates under Part 91 regulations, with an average of 250 annual flight hours. Trips are typically single-day, with a mix of overnight stays, and booked well in advance, primarily during weekdays.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Verifies crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes flight planning, performance, weight, and balance tasks as required.
- Leads required briefings, utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as needed.
- Acts as Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator according to company policy.
- Completes pre-flight aircraft inspections, including maintenance status checks, ensuring mission-ready status.
- Records all aircraft discrepancies following company SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures proper ground servicing (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) according to SOPs.
- Delivers passenger briefings as per company policy and regulations.
- Provides the highest level of customer service, accommodating any special passenger needs (e.g., physically challenged).
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all operational phases.
- Delivers an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides high-quality service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying and resolving service deviations to enhance the EJM experience.
- Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure consistent service delivery to owners and passengers.
- Resolves conflicts and challenges professionally and constructively.
- Maintains Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through established channels.
Required Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
- First Class Medical Certificate
- 4-6 years of flight experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation
- FAA Type Rating in applicable fleet
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
