EMB-550 Pilot in Command - Executive Jet Management
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for an EMB-550 aircraft based in Evansville, Indiana (EVV). Position Overview
The Pilot in Command is ultimately responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, while delivering an exceptional service experience to clients. This position involves flying under Part 91 regulations, averaging approximately 250 hours annually. Trips are typically single-day excursions, with a mix of occasional overnights, scheduled well in advance, and predominantly occurring on weekdays. This is not a commutable position; candidates must reside within driving distance of EVV airport.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command will:
- Ensure the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensure crew assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Complete flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Utilize Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Comply with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate with company personnel. Act as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Complete all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including maintenance status checks, to ensure mission readiness. Record all aircraft discrepancies according to SOPs.
- Ensure all aircraft ground servicing (fueling, oil, oxygen) is monitored and accomplished per SOPs.
- Conduct passenger briefings in accordance with policy and regulation. Deliver exceptional customer service and address passenger needs.
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Deliver an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provide outstanding service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Investigate and resolve service deviations.
- Collaborate with crew members and EJM partners to deliver a consistent service experience. Resolve conflicts professionally.
- Maintain Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintain all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Comply with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and report safety or non-compliance concerns.
Qualifications
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4-6 years of experience.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
