Embraer EMB-550 Pilot - Evansville, Indiana
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot to join its team based at Evansville Regional Airport (EVV) in Evansville, Indiana. EJM, a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, is a subsidiary of NetJets, the world's largest private aviation infrastructure. Purpose of Position
This is a full-time position operating under Part 91 regulations. The successful candidate will fly an Embraer EMB-550 aircraft, averaging 250 flight hours annually. The majority of flights are single-day trips with a mix of overnight assignments. Trips are typically booked well in advance, primarily scheduled for weekdays. This position is not commutable and requires the pilot to reside within a reasonable driving distance of EVV airport.
Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command (PIC) is ultimately responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC must adhere to all company and regulatory requirements while providing an exceptional service experience for passengers. Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations
- Compliance with company and regulatory requirements for crewing and trip assignments.
- Completion of thorough flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each flight.
- Effective utilization of the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead pre-flight briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Strict adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and seamless coordination with company personnel as needed.
- Serving as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Comprehensive pre-flight inspections, including assessment of aircraft maintenance status, to ensure aircraft readiness for mission capability.
- Accurate documentation of any aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitoring and implementation of all aircraft ground servicing requirements (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) according to SOPs.
- Conducting thorough passenger briefings adhering to company policy and regulations, providing the highest level of customer service, and accommodating any special passenger needs (e.g., physically challenged).
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to ensure clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience
- Providing superior service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Proactively investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to deliver a consistent and positive service experience for owners and passengers.
- Resolving conflicts and challenges professionally and constructively.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance
- Maintaining current regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Strict adherence to the company Safety Management System (SMS) program, including reporting any safety concerns or non-compliance issues through the appropriate channels.
Qualifications
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification.
- Current First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4-6 years of professional flying experience.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is highly preferred.
- FAA Type rating for the Embraer EMB-550 aircraft.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
