Job Summary

The Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of assigned flights, ensuring strict compliance with all federal, state, local, and foreign regulations, as well as the Aviation Operations Manual (AOM).

Primary Duties

  • Maintain working knowledge of all applicable CFRs, the Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), the Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM), and the Exelon AOM.
  • Conduct flights in accordance with the Exelon AOM and all applicable federal, state, local, and foreign regulations governing flight operations.
  • Ensure compliance with customs, immigration, and cabotage laws.
  • Ensure iPads are updated and adequately charged for assigned flights.
  • Confirm any non-standard local environmental rules and procedures at destination and en route airports and communicate them to the flight crew as necessary.
  • Complete all pre-flight and post-flight duties as outlined in Section 3 of the AOM.
  • Undertake any duties delegated by the Chief Pilot.

Job Scope

Captains are expected to autonomously conduct flights and assigned tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
  • Current First Class FAA Medical certificate
  • Total Flight Time: 3,000 hours
  • Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 1,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Time: 1,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Pilot in Command (MEPIC) Time: 1,000 hours
  • Turbine Time: 1,000 hours
  • Turbine Pilot in Command (TPIC) Time: 500 hours
  • Valid Passport with no international travel restrictions
  • FAA Pilot record free of violations or enforcements
  • Flexibility and availability to work weekdays, nights, and weekends as required.
  • Must reside within two hours of DPA Airport or be willing to relocate.
  • Must be able to successfully pass Exelon's psychological assessment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift 40 pounds to shoulder level for baggage loading and unloading.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree (highly desirable)
  • DA-2EASy Type Rating or DA-6X Type Rating
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior Corporate Aviation Experience
  • International Operations Experience
