Position Summary
The Lead Captain will assume ultimate responsibility for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of flight assignments. This leadership position involves serving as Pilot in Command (PIC), upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and quality. The role also includes developing crew members, fostering a culture of excellence, and representing Jet Aviation with distinction. Key attributes include discretion, adaptability, and strong leadership skills.
What We're Looking For
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
- FAA First Class Medical
- Five years of aviation experience
- 3,500 hours total fixed-wing time
- 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command
- 1,500 hours Multi-Engine
- 500 hours Turbo-Jet
- 500 hours Turbine
- 100 hours Night
- 75 hours Simulated Instrument
- Ability to work a variable schedule
- Willingness to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions
- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

What You'll Do
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all assigned flights, including inspections, flight planning, and weather/route analysis.
- Mentor and guide crew members, conduct performance reviews, and coordinate schedules and training.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, manage flight plans, and adapt to changing conditions.
- Promote a strong safety culture, adhere to best practices, and address aircraft discrepancies.
- Manage trip documentation, maintain aircraft manuals, assist in crew hiring, and represent Jet Aviation professionally.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Jet Aviation, delivering exceptional service.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Perform tasks requiring regular standing, walking, sitting, with occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching.
- Frequent lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
- Maintain sharp vision across various ranges and depths.
- Operate in diverse environments, from maintenance areas to customer spaces.
- Adapt to dynamic aircraft operations environments, including potential high noise levels, vibrations, and exposure to fuel fumes.
- Adapt to changing weather conditions and seasonal temperature extremes in hangar settings.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $315,000 to $340,000. This range is not a guaranteed offer. The final salary will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, geographic location, and other relevant considerations.
