Captain, Search and Rescue (SAR) Fleet - Challenger 604
Leidos Airborne Solutions Australia is seeking experienced Captains to join its Search and Rescue (SAR) fleet. This vital role involves commanding state-of-the-art Challenger 604 jets on behalf of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), conducting life-saving missions across Australia's SAR region. Opportunities are available for Captains based in Perth, Melbourne, or Cairns.
Responsibilities

Command SAR missions in dynamic, time-critical environments.

Lead and mentor crew to uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Operate advanced mission systems with precision.

Oversee aircraft readiness and mission planning.

Contribute to innovation in SAR capability.
Qualifications

Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR restrictions apply).

Australian ATPL(A) and MEA Instrument Rating.

CASA Class 1 Medical.

Eligibility for an Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC).

Minimum 3000 hours total flying time, including:

1500 hours multi-engine.

1000 hours command.

Jet experience is highly regarded.

Ability to reside within 30 minutes of the assigned base when on night standby.

Applicants may also need to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements.
