Lead Pilot in Command, Global 6000V
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a highly experienced Lead Pilot in Command for its Global 6000V aircraft based in Bradley International Airport (KBDL), Connecticut. This position offers the opportunity to lead a six-pilot flight department operating under Part 91 regulations, supported by a dedicated maintenance technician and cabin attendant. The successful candidate will reside within a two-hour radius of KBDL.
Purpose:
The Lead PIC serves as a peer leader, fostering effective crew resource management (CRM), exceptional client service, and efficient completion of flight department administrative tasks. Active participation in the flight schedule and adherence to all PIC duties and responsibilities are essential. The position requires extensive international experience and a global perspective. The annual flight schedule approximates 400 hours, demanding flexibility to accommodate a dynamic operational tempo.
Responsibilities:
Leading Flight Department Success:
- Cultivates and maintains strong client relationships, proactively addressing needs and potential issues.
- Collaborates closely with maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with all maintenance events and routine tasks (including database updates, audits, and checklist adherence).
- Oversees flight department administrative tasks, including invoice review, auditing, vendor relations, charter approvals, and crew scheduling.
- Mentors and motivates flight department crew, representing EJM's brand values and reporting concerns to the Regional Chief Pilot.
- Manages flight department administrative matters such as supply procurement (office and aircraft), subscriptions, and crew scheduling, including associated communication.
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Ensures crew assignments and trip planning comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Executes comprehensive flight planning, including performance calculations and weight and balance.
- Employs Threat, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology for risk mitigation.
- Adheres strictly to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as required. Serves as Ground and In-Flight Security Coordinator per company policy.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight inspections, documenting aircraft discrepancies according to SOPs.
- Oversees all aircraft ground servicing (fueling, oil, oxygen) in compliance with SOPs.
- Delivers comprehensive passenger briefings, providing exceptional customer service and accommodating special needs.
- Utilizes CRM and TEM for effective communication during all flight phases.
Delivering Exceptional Service:
- Provides superior service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities for service enhancement and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborates with crew and internal EJM partners to ensure consistent, high-quality service. Effectively manages conflict and challenges.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains required regulatory and company training, ensuring recency of experience.
- Complies with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety concerns through appropriate channels.
- Ensures all crewmembers maintain qualifications and comply with company policies, implementing necessary audits.
Qualifications:
4-6 years of experience. Prior corporate/business aviation experience preferred. FAA Type rating for the Global 6000V. Ability to perform all essential job functions. Minimum flight time requirements: Total flight time: 3500 hours; Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours; Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours; PIC MEL: 500 hours; Instrument: 300 hours; Jet: 500 hours

Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary Range: $117,000 - $438,500.
