Lead Pilot in Command (PIC) - Global 6000V

Executive Jet Management, a subsidiary of NetJets and a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks an experienced Lead Pilot in Command for a Global 6000V aircraft based in Bradley, CT (KBDL). This is a full-time position within a 6-pilot team, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, operating under Part 91 regulations.

The Lead Pilot in Command serves as a peer-leader within the flight department, emphasizing effective crew resource management, superior client service, and the meticulous completion of all administrative duties. The successful candidate actively participates in the flight schedule while adhering to all Pilot in Command responsibilities and expectations. This role requires extensive international experience and a global vision, with the candidate residing within a two-hour driving distance of Bradley International Airport (KBDL). The flight schedule averages 400 hours annually and demands scheduling flexibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads Flight Department Success: Manages client relationships, proactively communicates to address issues, collaborates with maintenance personnel, and ensures compliance with all aircraft maintenance and operational requirements. Completes administrative tasks such as invoice reviews, vendor relations, and crew scheduling. Supports and motivates crew members, reporting concerns to the Regional Chief Pilot.
  • Ensures Safe Operation of Flight: Verifies crewing and trip assignments are compliant, completes flight planning tasks, utilizes threat and risk assessments, complies with SOPs, acts as Ground and In-Flight Security Coordinator, completes pre-flight tasks, ensures proper ground servicing, delivers passenger briefings, and utilizes CRM and TEM for effective communication during all operations.
  • Delivers Exceptional Service Experience: Provides high-quality service to owners and passengers, resolving service issues and collaborating with fellow crew members and EJM partners to ensure a consistent experience.
  • Maintains Proficiency and Compliance: Maintains training and currency, adheres to company SMS program, ensures crew member qualifications and policy compliance.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation preferred.
  • FAA Type rating in applicable fleet.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions.
  • Minimum Flight Time Requirements: 3500 hours total, 1500 hours Multi Engine Land (MEL), 2000 hours Pilot in Command, 500 hours PIC MEL, 300 hours Instrument, and 500 hours Jet.

Compensation:

Base salary range: $117,000 - $438,500.
