Lead Pilot in Command - Global 6000V
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a subsidiary of NetJets and part of the world's largest private aviation infrastructure, seeks a qualified and experienced Lead Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Global 6000V aircraft based in Bradley, Connecticut (KBDL).

Purpose of Position:
The Lead PIC will serve as a peer-leader for a designated flight department, prioritizing effective crew resource management, client service, and completion of flight department administrative duties. This position requires extensive international experience, global vision experience, and residence within a two-hour drive of BDL. The account flies approximately 400 hours annually, demanding flexibility within a dynamic schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads Flight Department Success:
- Cultivates and manages client relationships while balancing client needs with EJM objectives. Proactively communicates to address any current or potential issues or opportunities.
- Collaborates closely with maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with all aircraft maintenance events (scheduled and unscheduled) and regular tasks (e.g., database updates, audits, checklists).
- Completes administrative duties as required by the aircraft owner/account (e.g., invoice reviews, auditing, vendor relations, charter approvals, crew schedules) according to defined expectations.
- Provides support and motivation to flight department crew members, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and contribute towards achieving department goals while representing the EJM brand. Reports concerns or issues to the Regional Chief Pilot.
- Manages flight department administrative matters, including but not limited to supplies (office and aircraft), subscriptions, and crew schedules, including associated communication with crewmembers.
Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight for the Designated Flight Department:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes flight planning, performance, weight and balance tasks for each assignment as required.
- Employs Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as needed. Acts as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including assessing maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable. Records any aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are completed in accordance with SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations. Delivers the highest level of customer service, accommodating any special passenger needs (e.g., physically challenged).
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivers an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides high-quality service to owners and passengers while actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Regularly investigates and resolves service deviations.
- Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to deliver a consistent service experience to owners and passengers. Resolves conflict and challenges in an acceptable manner.
Maintains Proficiency and Compliance for the Designated Flight Department:
- Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Adheres to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports any safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
- Ensures all crewmembers remain qualified to perform their assigned duties in accordance with regulations and company policy.
- Monitors compliance with company policies and ensures appropriate audits are in place.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred
- FAA Type Rating in applicable fleet
- Ability to perform all essential job functions
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours

Base Salary Range:
$117,000 - $438,500
