Position Overview:

Executive Jet Management is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Global 6000V aircraft based in Bradley, CT (KBDL). This position is part of a 6-pilot team, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, operating under Part 91 regulations. The Lead PIC serves as a peer leader within the designated flight department, with a focus on effective crew resource management, client service, and the diligent completion of flight department administrative duties. This role actively participates in the flying schedule, adhering to all PIC responsibilities and expectations. Candidates must possess extensive international experience, a global perspective, and reside within a two-hour drive of KBDL. This account flies approximately 400 hours annually and requires a flexible approach to accommodate a dynamic schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads Flight Department Success:
    • Cultivates and manages client relationships, balancing client needs with EJM objectives, proactively communicating to address potential issues and opportunities.
    • Collaborates closely with maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, as well as regular operational tasks.
    • Manages administrative duties associated with the aircraft owner/account, including invoice reviews, auditing, vendor relations, charter approvals, and crew scheduling.
    • Supports and motivates flight department crew members, aligning their understanding with departmental objectives and representing the EJM brand, while reporting any concerns to the Regional Chief Pilot.
    • Handles all aspects of flight department administration, including supplies, subscriptions, and crew schedules.
  • Ensures Safe Operation of Flight:
    • Ensures all crew and trip assignments are compliant with regulatory and company requirements.
    • Completes detailed flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
    • Utilizes the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
    • Adheres strictly to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and acts as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
    • Completes all pre-flight tasks, verifies the aircraft’s maintenance status, and records any discrepancies, ensuring mission readiness.
    • Monitors and ensures all aircraft ground servicing is completed in accordance with SOPs.
    • Conducts thorough passenger briefings, delivering exceptional customer service and addressing any special needs.
    • Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to facilitate clear and timely communication among crew and support personnel.
  • Delivers Exceptional Service:
    • Provides high-quality service to owners and passengers while seeking opportunities to enhance the EJM experience, investigating and resolving any service deviations.
    • Collaborates with crew and EJM internal partners to ensure consistent service, resolving conflicts in a professional manner.
  • Maintains Proficiency and Compliance:
    • Maintains all necessary regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
    • Adheres to the company's Safety Management System (SMS), reporting any safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
    • Ensures all crew members remain qualified for their assigned roles.
    • Ensures all crew members comply with company policies and that appropriate audits are in place.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation preferred.
  • FAA Type Rating in applicable fleet.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
    • Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
    • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours

Compensation and Benefits:

EJM offers a competitive base salary range of $117,000 - $438,500, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
