Key Responsibilities

As a First Officer, the role involves:

Conducting flights in compliance with the current flight plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the Captain's instructions. The First Officer is required to notify the Captain of any changes to the flight plan, Air Traffic Control instructions, or geographical position when the Captain is not at the controls.
Assisting the Captain as requested with any administrative duties related to the flight.
Confirming the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent check on both the geographical position of the aircraft and ensuring safe terrain and weather clearance.
Maintaining a high personal standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of Etihad Airways at all times.

What You'll Bring

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

A minimum of 2500 hours total flying time.
A minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit (1) or high-performance military jet aircraft.
At least 500 hours should be on one of the A320 Family aircraft.
Must have flown any Airbus Fly-By-Wire aircraft within the last 12 months.
Type rating on A320 must be valid for a minimum of 2 months at the time of joining.
Hold an ICAO current and unrestricted Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). Frozen ATPLs are not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen.
Must be current on the A320 aircraft.
Possess an unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.
Maximum age limit is 50 years old at the time of application.
English Language Fluency (written and verbal) Level 4 or better.
In the case of hours accumulated on flights with inflight relief, 75% of the total hours shall be counted towards the required minimums.

(1) Glass Cockpit: refers to aircraft equipped with a Flight Management System (FMS) coupled to an Automatic Pilot Flight Director System (APFDS).

There is the opportunity for First Officers to earn up to 513,732 AED (equivalent to approximately USD 138,318) tax-free per annum, based on 75 hours of flying per month. Annual salary increments are based on performance. Additional benefits include:
