The Role
The Captain holds ultimate authority for the safe, secure, and efficient operation of every flight. The incumbent is responsible for the technical command of the aircraft, the leadership of the flight and cabin crew, and the consistent maintenance of Etihad’s standards of professionalism.

Ensure the safety and security of all crew, passengers, cargo, and the aircraft.

Exercise full command of the aircraft from taxi-out to final engine shutdown.

Lead the flight and cabin crew through effective decision-making and crew resource management.

Operate aircraft with high efficiency in accordance with company fuel and sustainability policies.

Maintain excellence in On-Time Performance to support reliability and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
To be considered for the position of Captain A320 (Non-Type Rated), candidates must meet the following criteria:

Minimum of 7,000 hours total flying time.

Minimum of 4,000 PIC hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit aircraft (defined as aircraft with an FMS coupled to APFDS).

Valid and unrestricted ICAO ATPL.

Valid and unrestricted Class 1 medical certificate.

Must not have attained the age of 59 years on the date of joining.

English language fluency (written and verbal) at ICAO Level 4 or higher.

Note: For hours accumulated on flights with in-flight relief, 75% of total hours are credited toward the required minimum.

Current TRE/TRI certification is considered an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
Etihad provides a competitive, tax-free package designed to support a high standard of living in Abu Dhabi. Total annual earning potential is up to AED 674,029 (USD 181,589), based on 75 flying hours per month. The package includes a basic salary, flying pay, housing allowance, and layover/meal allowances, along with performance-based annual increments.
