First Officer - A320

The Role
The First Officer supports the Captain in the safe, secure, and efficient operation of the aircraft. Key responsibilities include:

Assisting the Captain in flight preparation, navigation, and operation in compliance with all regulatory standards.

Maintaining continuous monitoring of aircraft position, terrain, and weather conditions.

Providing clear, proactive communication and support to the Captain to facilitate effective decision-making.

Upholding high standards of discipline and professional conduct at all times.

Assuming command of the aircraft in the event of Captain incapacitation, in accordance with company procedures.
Compensation and Benefits
Etihad provides a competitive, tax-free remuneration package. Annual earnings can reach up to AED 513,732 (USD 138,318), based on 75 flying hours per month, including basic salary, flying pay, housing, and layover/meal allowances. Additional benefits include:

Candidate Requirements
Candidates must meet the General Eligibility requirements and satisfy either Criteria A or Criteria B.
General Eligibility

Current A320 family aircraft experience (flown within the last 12 months).

Valid A320 type rating (with at least 2 months of validity at the time of joining).

Unrestricted ATPL or valid frozen ATPL issued by an ICAO member state.

Current, unrestricted Class 1 medical certificate.
-
Must be under the age of 50 on the day of joining.

English language fluency (ICAO Level 4 or higher).
Criteria A
-
Minimum 2,000 hours total flying time.

Minimum 1,500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit multi-pilot aircraft (FMS coupled to APFDS).

Minimum 500 hours on type.
Criteria B

Minimum 1,500 hours total flying time.

Minimum 1,000 hours on any A320 family aircraft.
Note: Holders of Frozen ATPL (CPL) must present results of ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Exams and an integrated ATPL course completion certificate.
