About the Role
As a First Officer, you will serve as a vital member of the flight deck crew, supporting the Captain in the safe, secure, and efficient operation of all flights. This role requires a high level of professionalism, technical proficiency, and strong teamwork, with an emphasis on developing leadership capabilities for future command.
- Assist the Captain in all phases of flight preparation, navigation, and operation, adhering strictly to Etihad's operating procedures and regulatory standards.
- Continuously monitor and verify aircraft position, terrain, and weather conditions to ensure safe navigation.
- Provide clear, concise communication and support to the Captain to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Maintain the highest standards of discipline, conduct, and personal appearance, representing Etihad with professionalism.
- Be prepared to assume command in the event of Captain incapacitation, following established rank and company procedures.
What You'll Bring
Candidate Criteria
To be considered for the A320 First Officer position, candidates must meet either Criteria A or Criteria B, in addition to the General Eligibility criteria.
Criteria A
- Minimum 2,000 hours total flying time.
- Minimum 1,500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit MPA.
- Minimum 500 hours on type.
Criteria B
- Minimum 1,500 hours total flying time.
- Minimum 1,000 hours on any A320 family aircraft.
General Eligibility
- Must have flown any A320 family aircraft within the last 12 months.
- A valid A320 type rating with at least 2 months remaining at the time of joining.
- An unrestricted ATPL or a valid frozen ATPL issued by an ICAO member state.
- An unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.
- Must not have reached the age of 50 on the day of joining.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) at ICAO Level 4 or higher.
