Job Purpose
The Pilot is responsible for conducting assigned flights in accordance with the Airline Operational Manual and civil aviation authority regulations. The primary objective is to ensure the ultimate safety, security, and efficiency of all flight operations. The Pilot provides leadership and guidance to flight and cabin crew, manages emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios effectively, and upholds a positive corporate image through successful flight performance.
Key Responsibilities

Operate assigned aircraft according to schedules and approved flight plans, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort.

Monitor and implement procedures outlined in the Airline’s Operations Manual to ensure safe and smooth flight operations.

Ensure personal and crew readiness, including timely attendance, grooming, fitness, and legal compliance. Conduct comprehensive pre-flight briefings.

Liaise with the flight crew and dispatch team to communicate essential information, including technical status, route details, weather, fuel, and weight distribution.

Optimize fuel efficiency within the safety constraints defined by the Operations Manual.

Oversee all pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety, security, and transit checks, taking decisive action in response to irregularities.

Coordinate with Maintenance Engineers, MCC, and MROs to verify aircraft technical status and implement corrective measures for any identified defects.

Maintain accurate documentation and technical logs, including journey books, boarding sheets, and reports, in compliance with regulatory standards.

Ensure the Airline Operations Manual is understood and strictly adhered to by all flight crew members.

Remain current on all legal requirements from regulatory bodies, including civil aviation authorities and aircraft manufacturers.

Perform additional ground-based responsibilities, such as serving as a Safety or Security Officer, as assigned.
Qualifications

Valid ATPL License is required.

Successful completion of technical and psychometric assessments for pilots.

Successful completion of a medical fitness examination.

Proficiency in aircraft systems and Microsoft Office.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing and presentation capabilities.

Fluency in English (additional local languages are an advantage).

Desirable qualifications: Formal training in safety/emergency response, airport security procedures, Crew Resource Management, and IATA principles.
Work Experience

Minimum of 4,000 flight hours required; Airbus 320 experience is preferred.

Experience with a low-cost airline is highly desirable.

Knowledge of industry-standard aircraft systems, operating procedures, and regulatory compliance.

Exposure to QA, safety, security, and audit procedures within flight operations.

Proven ability to perform under high-workload schedules and adapt to changing environments.

Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a cost-oriented approach.

High attention to detail and accuracy with a focus on delivering against business KPIs.
