Job Purpose
The Pilot is responsible for conducting assigned flights in accordance with the Airline Operational Manual and civil aviation authority regulations. The Pilot ensures the highest standards of safety, security, and efficiency throughout all flight operations. This role involves providing support and guidance to flight and cabin crew, managing emergencies and ad-hoc operational scenarios, and maintaining a professional corporate image.
Key Responsibilities

Operate assigned aircraft according to flight schedules and approved plans, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort.

Monitor and maintain adherence to the Airline’s Operations Manual and regulatory requirements.

Ensure personal and flight crew readiness, including timely attendance, grooming, fitness, and regulatory legality. Conduct comprehensive pre-flight briefings.

Liaise with First Officers, Second Officers, and the Dispatch Team to ensure crew preparedness regarding technical status, weather, fuel, weight, and role distribution.

Optimize fuel efficiency within safety constraints and operational guidelines.

Direct flight and cabin crew in performing all required safety, security, fuel, and transit checks; lead responses to safety or security irregularities.

Collaborate with Maintenance Engineers, MCC, and MROs to confirm aircraft technical status and address any identified defects.

Maintain accurate documentation, including technical logs, journey books, and boarding reports, in compliance with regulatory standards.

Ensure the Airline Operations Manual is correctly maintained and understood by the flight crew.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements from civil aviation authorities and aircraft manufacturers.

Perform additional ground-based responsibilities, such as Safety or Security Officer duties, as directed.
Qualifications

Valid ATPL License is required.

Successful completion of technical and psychometric assessments for pilots.

Clearance of medical fitness examinations as per airline and aviation authority standards.

Proficiency in aircraft systems and Microsoft Office.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce technical reports and deliver presentations.

High proficiency in English (local languages are an asset).

Formal training in safety and emergency response is required; training in security procedures, IATA principles, and Crew Resource Management is advantageous.
Work Experience and Competencies

Minimum of 4,000 flight hours; Airbus 320 experience is preferred.

Prior experience with a low-cost airline is highly desirable.

Exposure to QA, safety, security, and audit procedures within flight operations.

Proven ability to manage heavy workloads and navigate changing environments or ad-hoc scenarios.
