First Officer - Wide Body Fleet

The Role
As a First Officer at Etihad, you will serve as a vital member of the flight deck, supporting the Captain to ensure the safe, secure, and efficient operation of flights. Candidates are expected to exhibit professional conduct, technical proficiency, and strong teamwork while demonstrating leadership potential for future command.

Assist the Captain in all aspects of flight preparation, navigation, and operation in accordance with regulatory standards and company procedures.

Maintain continuous and independent monitoring of aircraft position, terrain, and weather to ensure safe navigation.

Provide clear communication and support to the Captain to facilitate effective decision-making.

Uphold professional standards of discipline, conduct, and personal appearance.

Assume command of the aircraft in the event of Captain incapacitation.
Compensation and Benefits
Etihad Airways offers a competitive, tax-free annual package of up to AED 513,732 (USD 138,318), based on 75 flying hours per month. This package includes basic salary, flying pay, housing allowance, and layover/meal allowances.

Candidate Requirements
Applicants must meet either Criteria A or Criteria B, in addition to all General Eligibility requirements.
Criteria A

Minimum 2,500 hours total flying time.

Minimum 1,500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit MPA (FMS coupled to APFDS).

Minimum 1,000 hours on any Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing Wide body aircraft.
Criteria B

Minimum 3,000 hours total flying time.

Minimum 2,000 hours on any Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing Wide body aircraft.
General Eligibility
-
Must have flown any Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing Wide body aircraft within the last 12 months.

Type rating on any Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing Wide body aircraft valid for at least 2 more months at the time of joining.

Unrestricted ATPL or valid frozen ATPL issued by an ICAO member state (Holders of Frozen ATPL must present ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Exam results and an integrated ATPL course completion certificate).

Unrestricted, current Class 1 medical.

Must not have attained the age of 50 on the day of joining.

English language fluency (written and verbal) at ICAO Level 4 or better.
