Etihad Airways Seeks Experienced A320 Co-Pilots
Position Overview:
The Co-Pilot plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo. This individual will work closely with the Commander to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. In the event of Commander incapacitation, the highest ranking Co-Pilot assumes command, underscoring the vital nature of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Share responsibility for the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo within the scope of their duties.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Etihad's Operations Manual for professional and safe execution of duties.
- Provide assistance to the Commander regarding administrative tasks related to the flight.
- Uphold a high standard of crew discipline, conduct, and professional appearance.
- Carry out flight-related duties in accordance with Etihad's operating policies, procedures, and the Commander's instructions.
- Continuously monitor the aircraft's geographical position, ensuring safe terrain and weather clearance.
- Execute the flight plan in compliance with SOPs and the Commander's directives, notifying the Commander of any deviations.
- Proactively offer advice, information, and assistance to the Commander to contribute to the flight's safety and efficiency.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance as a representative of Etihad Airways.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2500 hours total flying time.
- Minimum 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit (aircraft with FMS coupled to APFDS), or high-performance military jets.
- 500 hours on one of the A320 Family aircraft within the past 3 years, currently flying an Airbus FBW type.
- Valid A320 type rating for at least 2 months at the time of joining.
- ICAO current and unrestricted ATPL (Frozen ATPL not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen).
- Current on A320.
- Unrestricted, current Class 1 medical.
- Maximum age limit of 50 years old.
- English Language Fluency (written and verbal) at Level 4 or better.
- For flight hours accumulated with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours count towards the minimum requirements.
Compensation & Benefits:
Etihad Airways offers a competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience, including:
- Fixed Monthly Salary: AED 26,000
- Flight Duty Allowance:
- 1-6 years of service: AED 40 per block hour
- 7-10 years of service: AED 56 per block hour
- Layover Meal Allowance:
- Middle East/GCC/Subcontinent: AED 12 per hour
- Asia/Far East: AED 15 per hour
- Africa/Australasia: AED 18 per hour
- Europe/Americas: AED 23 per hour
- Housing Allowance: Up to AED 160,000 per year
- Education Allowance: AED 36,000 for primary and AED 50,400 for secondary (up to 3 children)
