Co-Pilot - Airbus A320
An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Co-Pilot to join a leading airline. The Co-Pilot will be responsible for the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo onboard, particularly in the absence of the Commander. This role requires a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo, as related to assigned duties, and assumes command in the absence of the Commander.
- Maintains thorough familiarity with the airline's Operations Manual, adhering to all necessary procedures for professional and safe operation.
- Assists the Commander with administrative duties related to the flight, as requested.
- Supports the Commander in maintaining a high standard of crew discipline, conduct, and personal appearance.
- Executes flight duties in accordance with the airline's operating policies and procedures, as allocated by the Commander.
- Confirms the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent check of the aircraft's geographical position and ensuring safe terrain and weather clearance.
- Conducts the flight in compliance with the current flight plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the Commander’s instructions when not at the controls, subsequently notifying the Commander of any changes to the flight plan, ATC instructions, or geographical position upon their return.
- Provides timely advice, information, and assistance to the Commander to contribute to the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
- Maintains a high personal standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance, representing the airline positively at all times.
- Assumes command in the event of Commander incapacitation, provided they are the highest-ranking Co-Pilot assigned to the flight.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2500 hours total flying time.
- A minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit (aircraft with a FMS coupled to APFDS), or high-performance military jet.
- 500 hours on the A320 Family within the last 3 years, and currently flying on an Airbus FBW type.
- A320 Type Rating valid for a minimum of 2 months at the time of joining.
- Current and unrestricted ICAO ATPL. Frozen ATPLs are not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen.
- Current on A320.
- Unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.
- Maximum age limit: 50 years old.
- English Language Fluency (written and verbal) Level 4 or better.
- In the case of hours accumulated on flights with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours will be counted towards the required minimums.
Salary & Benefits:
- Fixed monthly pay of AED 26,000.
- Flight duty allowance:
- 1-6 years of service: AED 40 per block hour
- 7-10 years of service: AED 56 per block hour
- Meal allowance during layovers:
- Middle East/GCC/Sub Continent: AED 12 per hour
- Asia/Far East: AED 15 per hour
- Africa/Australasia: AED 18 per hour
- Europe/Americas: AED 23 per hour
- Housing allowance up to AED 160,000 per year.
- Education allowance of AED 40,000 for primary and AED 55,000 for secondary, for up to 3 children.
