A320 Type-Rated Pilot - Fly Jinnah

Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline, is seeking highly qualified A320 Type-rated pilots for a fixed-term contract. This is an exceptional opportunity for eligible foreign nationals to join a dynamic and growing organization.

Contract Specifications:

This is a fixed-term contract of 15 months, with the possibility of renewal based on mutual agreement. The contract includes an initial training period of approximately 3 months, followed by 12 months of flying duties.

Decision Making Parameters:

The pilot will conduct assigned flights in strict adherence to the Airline Operational Manual and all relevant civil aviation authority regulations. The pilot is responsible for ensuring the utmost safety, security, and efficiency of all flights. They will support and guide flight and cabin crew, effectively manage emergencies and ad-hoc situations, and maintain a positive corporate image. The pilot will consult with the Chief Pilot, Maintenance Control Centre, Operations Control Centre, or Head of Flight Operations on any non-routine or critical matters prior to taking action. All duties must be performed through proper channels and in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Key Result Responsibilities:

The pilot will operate assigned aircraft between destinations according to schedules and approved flight plans, assuming ultimate responsibility for the aircraft during assigned flights. They will ensure all flights comply with the Airline’s Operations Manual and relevant regulations, implementing and maintaining necessary procedures for safe and smooth operation. The pilot will ensure timely attendance, proper grooming, and fitness for duty for themselves and the flight crew. They will conduct thorough pre-flight briefings to ensure all crew members are fully informed of flight details. The pilot will liaise with co-pilots and the dispatch team to ensure flight and cabin crew preparedness, including aircraft technical status, route preferences, weather, fuel, and weight considerations. They are also responsible for the efficient use of fuel during flights while adhering to safety regulations. The pilot will ensure safety, security, fuel, and transit checks are conducted before, during, and after each flight, directing crew response to any safety or security irregularities and escalating issues as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
  • Must successfully complete the Airline's technical and psychometric assessment.
  • Must pass the required medical fitness examination.
  • Training in safety and emergency response is essential; formal qualification is advantageous.
  • Basic training in airport and security procedures and regulations is advantageous.
  • Crew Resource Management training is considered advantageous.
  • Knowledge of IATA principles and standards related to security is an advantage.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 4,000 hours total flying time is required.
  • A minimum of 800 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on the Airbus A320 is mandatory.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems and operating procedures.
  • Has demonstrable experience with QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures related to Flight Operations.
  • Demonstrates an ability to implement policies, procedures, and manuals in compliance with approved standards and regulations.
  • Demonstrates cost-consciousness and effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Maintains a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Salary and Benefits:

Monthly Salary During Initial Training:

AED 20,199 (approximately USD 5,500) net salary per month, pro-rated for any part of the month, plus per diem, until the final line check.

Monthly Salary After Training/Final Line Check:

AED 27,544 (approximately USD 7,500) net salary per month, plus per diem, for up to 60 block hours in a month.

Flying Pay Above 60 Block Hours:

AED 404 (approximately USD 110) per block hour above 60 hours in a month.

Per Diem:

AED 184 (approximately USD 50) per day, an average of USD 1,500 per month, for food and miscellaneous expenses.

Accommodation:

Suitable hotel accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis will be provided at the base of operation and layover stations for the duration of the contract. Four pieces of personal laundry are also provided per day at the hotel.

Transportation:

Ground transportation will be provided to and from Airports/Office for all rostered flight duties.

Travel:

  • The company will arrange and pay for economy class tickets at the start and end of the contract, including up to 50 kilos of baggage allowance.
  • Unlimited standby tickets on the Air Arabia group network during the contract period.
  • MYID travel benefits after 6 months of employment.

Uniforms/Laundry:

Uniforms and laundry service will be provided for the duration of the contract.

Roster & Day Off:

  • 30 calendar days of annual leave vacation (ALV) per year, accrued at 2.5 days per month.
  • Paid vacation is granted after successful completion of initial training and line flying release in the UAE, and when starting regular rostered flying duties in Pakistan.
  • Paid vacation days will be combined with rostered days off to ensure at least seven consecutive free-of-duty days per month.
