A320 Type-Rated Captain (Expatriate)
Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline, presents an exceptional opportunity for skilled and experienced A320 Type-Rated Foreign/Expatriate Pilots to join its flight crew team on a fixed-term contract basis. This position is open exclusively to eligible foreign nationals.
Contract Specification
- Contract Duration: A 15-month fixed-term contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
- Structure: The contract includes an initial training period of approximately three months, followed by twelve months of flying duties.
Key Responsibilities
The A320 Captain is ultimately responsible for the safety, security, and efficiency of flight operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assigned flights in strict accordance with the Airline's Operations Manual and all applicable Civil Aviation Authority regulations.
- Ensuring the highest standards of safety and security are maintained throughout all flight phases, effectively managing the flight and cabin crew.
- Demonstrating exemplary leadership and decision-making skills, especially in handling emergencies and non-standard situations to protect the company's corporate image.
- Liaising with the Chief Pilot, Maintenance Control Centre, and Operations Control Centre for any non-routine or critical actions, adhering to established policies and communication channels.
- Leading comprehensive pre-flight briefings with the flight crew, ensuring all members are fully informed of the aircraft's technical status, flight plan, weather conditions, and fuel requirements.
- Operating the aircraft to achieve maximum fuel efficiency and operational effectiveness within safety parameters.
- Overseeing all required safety, security, and transit checks before, during, and after each flight.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a valid and appropriate Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Successful completion of the airline's technical and psychometric assessments as per company and civil aviation authority standards.
- Must pass a comprehensive medical fitness examination as required by regulations.
- Formal training and qualifications in safety and emergency response are essential.
- Proficiency in Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of basic airport security procedures and IATA security standards is beneficial.
Required Work Experience
- A minimum of 4,000 total flying hours on aircraft.
- A minimum of 800 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on the Airbus A320 family.
- A thorough understanding of aircraft systems, operating procedures, and QA/Safety/Security protocols related to flight operations.
- Proven ability to implement and adhere to company policies, procedures, and manuals.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and a cost-conscious mindset.
Salary and Benefits
Monthly Salary During Initial Training
A net salary of AED 22,000 (approx. US$6,000) per month, pro-rated, plus per diem, will be paid during the training period until the Final Line Check.
Monthly Salary After Training
A net salary of AED 33,800 (approx. US$9,200) per month for up to 60 block hours, plus per diem.
Additional Flying Pay
Each block hour flown above 60 hours in a month will be compensated at a rate of AED 475 (approx. US$130).
Per Diem
A daily allowance of AED 184 (approx. US$50) will be provided for meals and miscellaneous expenses, averaging US$1,500 per month.
Accommodation
Fully furnished hotel accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis will be provided at the base of operation and at layover stations for the entire contract duration. This includes a personal laundry service for four items per day.
Transportation
Ground transportation between the provided accommodation and the airport for all rostered duties will be supplied.
Travel Benefits
- The company will provide and pay for economy class tickets at the beginning and end of the contract, including a baggage allowance of up to 50 kg.
- Unlimited standby travel on the Air Arabia group network is available throughout the contract.
- Eligibility for MYID travel benefits after six months of service.
Uniforms
Company uniforms and associated laundry services will be provided for the duration of the contract.
Roster and Leave
- Entitled to 30 calendar days of Annual Leave Vacation (ALV) per completed year of service, accruing at 2.5 days per month.
- Paid vacation is granted after successful completion of training and upon commencing regular flying duties in Pakistan.
- The monthly roster guarantees a minimum of seven consecutive free-of-duty days, combining paid vacation with rostered days off.
