Contract Overview
- Eligibility: This opportunity is exclusively open to eligible foreign nationals.
- Duration: A 15-month fixed period contract, with renewal subject to mutual agreement.
- Structure: The contract includes an approximate 3-month initial training phase, followed by 12 months of active flying duties.
The Role: Command and Operational Excellence
The A320 Captain holds the ultimate responsibility for the safety, security, and efficiency of all assigned flights. The successful candidate must ensure strict adherence to all provisions detailed within the Airline Operational Manual and comply fully with respective civil aviation authority regulations.
Key Responsibilities and Decision-Making Parameters
- Operates assigned flights in accordance with approved schedules and flight plans, acting as the ultimate authority for the aircraft during operations.
- Maintains uncompromising standards of safety and security throughout all phases of flight, effectively managing and responding to emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios.
- Provides strong leadership and guidance to flight and cabin crew members, ensuring successful mission performance and upholding a positive corporate image.
- Ensures timely reporting, adherence to proper grooming standards, medical fitness, and legal readiness for both the Captain and the assigned flight crew.
- Conducts comprehensive pre-flight briefings to ensure all crew members are fully informed of flight details and operational procedures.
- Liaises effectively with co-pilots (First Officer and Second Officer) and the Dispatch Team prior to each flight regarding technical status, route preferences, weather conditions, fuel calculations, weight, and effective distribution of operational roles.
- Ensures optimal and efficient use of fuel during flight, while strictly adhering to safety constraints detailed in the Airline’s Operations Manual.
- Monitors and directs the crew in performing required safety, security, fuel, and transit checks before, during, and post-flight, taking necessary action and deciding on escalations regarding safety or security irregularities.
- Consults with the Chief Pilot, Maintenance Control Centre, Operations Control Centre, or Head of Flight Operations regarding any non-routine or critical operational actions before execution.
Candidate Specifications
Required Work Experience
- A minimum total flying experience of 4,000 hours on aircraft.
- A minimum of 800 hours logged as Pilot in Command (PIC) on the Airbus 320 (A320) aircraft type.
- Demonstrated capacity to implement company policies, procedures, and manuals in compliance with approved standards and regulatory requirements.
- Possession of acceptable industry knowledge regarding aircraft systems and standard operating procedures.
- Proven exposure to Quality Assurance (QA), Safety, Security, and Audit procedures related to Flight Operations.
- Must exhibit high accuracy, attention to detail, effective problem-solving, and superior decision-making skills.
Qualifications (Academic and Licensing)
- Possession of a valid and appropriate Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is mandatory.
- Successful completion of the technical and psychometric assessments required for pilots as per the standards of the airline and the respective civil aviation authority.
- Successful completion of the mandatory Medical Fitness check-up for pilots in line with airline and civil aviation authority standards.
- Training in safety and emergency response procedures is essential; a formal qualification in this area is advantageous.
- Training in Basic Airport, security procedures, and regulations is an advantage.
- Crew Resources Management (CRM) Training is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of IATA principles and standards relating to security is an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits Package
Fly Jinnah offers a highly competitive net salary and benefits package designed for expat aviation professionals:
Monthly Salary Structure
- During Initial Training (Until Final Line Check): AED 22,000 (equivalent to US$6,000) Net Salary per month (pro-rated) plus Per Diem.
- Post Training / Final Line Check (Up to 60 Block hours per month): AED 33,800 (equivalent to US$9,200) Net Salary per month plus Per Diem.
- Flying Pay (Above 60 Block hours): Every block hour above 60 per month will be remunerated at AED 475 (equivalent to US$130).
Additional Benefits
- Per Diem: AED 184 (equivalent of US$50) per day, calculated to average approximately US$1,500 per month, paid towards food and miscellaneous expenses.
- Accommodation: Suitable hotel accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis provided at the operational base and during layover stations for the entire contract duration. This includes personal laundry service (4 pieces of clothing per day).
- Transportation: Suitable ground transportation provided for all rostered flight duties between the accommodation and the airport/office.
- Travel:
- Economy class tickets covered by the company at the commencement and end of the contract, including up to 50 kilograms of baggage allowance.
- Unlimited standby tickets on the Air Arabia group network during the contract period.
- Eligibility for MYID travel benefits commencing after 6 months of service completion.
- Uniforms: Full uniform provision and associated laundry services throughout the duration of the contract.
Roster and Annual Leave
- The Captain is entitled to 30 calendar days of Annual Leave Vacation (ALV) per completed year of service, accruing at 2.5 days per month.
- Paid vacation is granted following the successful completion of initial training, line flying release in the UAE, and the commencement of regular rostered flying duties in Pakistan.
- Paid vacation days will be combined with rostered OFF days monthly, guaranteeing a minimum of seven consecutive free-of-duty days (Paid Vacation plus OFF days) per month.
