A320 Type-Rated Pilot - Fly Jinnah (Fixed-Term Contract)
Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline, is seeking experienced and highly skilled A320 Type-Rated Pilots to join its dynamic team on a fixed-term contract basis. Contract Specification: Open to eligible foreign nationals only.
Contract Duration:
- 15-month fixed period contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
- Approximately 3 months of initial training followed by 12 months of flying duties.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assigned flights in accordance with the Airline Operational Manual and relevant civil aviation authority regulations.
- Ensure the ultimate safety, security, and efficiency of all operated flights.
- Support and guide the flight/cabin crew, effectively handle emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios, and maintain control of the flight to ensure successful performance and a positive corporate image.
- Consult with the Chief Pilot, Maintenance Control Centre, Operations Control Centre, or Head of Flight Operations on any non-routine or critical action prior to execution, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Fly the assigned aircraft according to given schedules and approved flight plans, assuming ultimate responsibility for the aircraft during assigned flights.
- Implement, monitor, and maintain procedures to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the aircraft.
- Ensure timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality of self and Flight Crew for assigned flights.
- Conduct pre-flight briefings to ensure crew members are informed of flight details and that procedures are followed.
- Liaise with co-pilots and the Dispatch Team prior to each flight to ensure all crew members are well-prepared with relevant information, including aircraft technical status, route preferences, weather, fuel, and weight distribution.
- Maximize fuel efficiency during flights while adhering to safety constraints.
- Ensure required safety, security, fuel, and transit checks are carried out by assigned crew members before, during, and after each flight.
- Take necessary action and direct the crew on how to react in case of safety or security irregularities, escalating as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid and appropriate ATPL License.
- Must successfully pass the technical/psychometric assessment for Pilots as per the Airline and civil aviation authority standards.
- Must pass the Medical Fitness check-up as per the Airline and civil aviation authority standards.
- Essential training in safety and emergency response; formal qualification is an advantage.
- Basic Airport, security procedures and regulations training is an advantage.
- Crew Resources Management Training is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of IATA principles & standards relating to security is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4000 hours of total flight time required.
- Minimum of 800 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on Airbus A320 required.
- Possesses acceptable industry knowledge in aircraft systems and operating procedures.
- Exposure to QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures and practices related to Flight Operations.
- Capable of implementing policies, procedures, and manuals as per approved standards and regulations.
- Cost-oriented with effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrates high accuracy and attention to detail.
Salary and Benefits:
- Monthly Salary During Initial Training: AED 20,199 (US$5,500) net per month (pro-rated) plus per diem.
- Monthly Salary After Training/Final Line Check (Up to 60 Block Hours): AED 27,544 (US$7,500) net per month plus per diem.
- Flying Pay Above 60 Block Hours: AED 404 (US$110) per block hour.
- Per Diem: AED 184 (US$50) per day (approximately US$1,500 per month) for food and miscellaneous expenses.
- Accommodation: Suitable hotel accommodation with bed & breakfast at the base of operation and layover stations for the contract duration, including personal laundry service (4 pieces of clothing per day).
- Transportation: Ground transportation provided between accommodation and airports/office for all rostered flight duties.
- Travel:
- Economy class tickets provided at the commencement and end of the contract with up to 50 kilos of baggage allowance.
- Unlimited standby tickets on the Air Arabia group network during the contract period.
- Eligibility for MYID travel benefits after 6 months of service.
- Uniforms/Laundry: Uniforms and laundry service provided for the contract duration.
- Roster & Day Off:
- 30 calendar days of Annual Leave Vacation (ALV) per completed year of service (accruing at 2.5 days per month).
- Paid vacation granted after successful completion of initial training and Line Flying release.
- A minimum of seven consecutive free-of-duty days (Paid Vacation + OFF days) guaranteed per month.
