Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline, seeks highly skilled Airbus A320 Type-rated pilots for a challenging and rewarding 15-month fixed-term contract, renewable by mutual agreement. This opportunity is exclusively available to eligible foreign nationals.
Contract Details:
The contract comprises an initial three-month training period followed by twelve months of operational flying duties.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting all assigned flights in strict accordance with the Airline Operational Manual and all relevant civil aviation regulations.
- Prioritizing and ensuring the ultimate safety, security, and efficiency of all flights. This includes providing guidance to flight and cabin crew, effectively managing emergencies and unexpected situations, and maintaining a positive corporate image.
- Consulting with the Chief Pilot, Maintenance Control Centre, Operations Control Centre, or Head of Flight Operations regarding any non-routine or critical actions before execution, ensuring all actions are undertaken through appropriate channels and comply with established policies and procedures.
- Operating assigned aircraft between destinations according to scheduled flight plans, assuming full responsibility for the aircraft during assigned flights.
- Implementing and maintaining procedures to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operation, in compliance with the Airline’s Operations Manual.
- Ensuring timely flight crew attendance, adherence to grooming standards, and maintaining personal fitness and legal compliance. Conducting comprehensive pre-flight briefings and ensuring adherence to all established procedures.
- Coordinating pre-flight communication with co-pilots and the dispatch team to ensure all crew members are fully informed on aircraft status, route preferences, weather conditions, fuel and weight calculations, and role distribution.
- Optimizing fuel efficiency within safety parameters detailed in the Airline’s Operations Manual.
- Overseeing required pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety, security, fuel, and transit checks performed by the flight and cabin crew. Taking decisive action and directing crew responses to safety or security incidents, and escalating as needed.
Qualifications:
- A valid ATPL license is mandatory.
- Successful completion of airline and civil aviation authority-approved technical and psychometric assessments for pilots.
- Successful completion of airline and civil aviation authority-approved medical fitness checks.
- Training in safety and emergency response (formal qualifications are advantageous).
- Experience with airport security procedures and regulations (advantageous).
- Crew Resource Management training (advantageous).
- Familiarity with IATA security principles and standards (advantageous).
Experience:
- A minimum of 4000 hours of total flight time.
- A minimum of 800 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on an Airbus A320.
- Demonstrable knowledge of aircraft systems and operating procedures.
- Experience with QA/safety/security/audit procedures and practices affecting flight operations.
- Proven ability to implement policies, procedures, and manuals according to approved standards and regulations.
- Cost-consciousness, effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, high accuracy, and attention to detail.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary:
- During training (until final line check): AED 20,199 (equivalent to US$5,500) net monthly salary (pro-rated for partial months) plus per diem.
- After training/final line check (up to 60 block hours per month): AED 27,544 (equivalent to US$7,500) net monthly salary plus per diem.
- Above 60 block hours per month: AED 404 (equivalent to US$110) per block hour.
Per Diem:
AED 184 (equivalent to US$50) per day (approximately US$1,500 per month) for food and miscellaneous expenses.
Accommodation:
Provided at the base of operation and layover stations (bed and breakfast, including personal laundry service).
Transportation:
Ground transportation provided between accommodation and airports/offices for all rostered flight duties.
Travel:
- Economy class airfare to and from the base of operation at the commencement and end of the contract (with a 50kg baggage allowance).
- Unlimited standby tickets on the Air Arabia group network during the contract period.
- MYID travel benefits after six months of service.
Uniforms and Laundry:
Provided for the duration of the contract.
Roster and Time Off:
- 30 calendar days of annual leave per completed year of service (accruing at 2.5 days per month).
- Paid vacation granted after initial training and line flying release in the UAE, and upon commencement of regular rostered duties in Pakistan.
- A minimum of seven consecutive free-of-duty days (paid vacation plus rostered off days) per month.
