Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline, seeks highly skilled A320 Type-rated pilots for a rewarding fixed-term contract. This exceptional opportunity is exclusively available to eligible foreign nationals.
Contract Details
The contract is for a 15-month fixed period, renewable by mutual agreement. The initial three months will be dedicated to comprehensive training, followed by twelve months of operational flight duties.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will execute assigned flights in strict adherence to the Airline Operational Manual and all relevant civil aviation regulations. Primary responsibilities include ensuring the safety, security, and efficiency of all flights. This encompasses guiding the flight and cabin crews, effectively managing emergencies and unexpected situations, and maintaining a positive corporate image. Consultation with the Chief Pilot, Maintenance Control Centre, Operations Control Centre, and Head of Flight Operations is required for all non-routine or critical actions. All duties must be performed through appropriate channels and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Key Result Areas
- Conducting flights according to schedules and approved flight plans, maintaining ultimate responsibility for the aircraft during assigned flights.
- Ensuring flight operations adhere to the Airline’s Operations Manual and regulations, implementing procedures for safe and smooth aircraft operation.
- Maintaining punctuality, appropriate grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for self and flight crew. Conducting thorough pre-flight briefings to ensure all crew members are fully informed.
- Collaborating with co-pilots and the Dispatch Team before each flight, ensuring the flight and cabin crew are adequately prepared and informed about aircraft status, routes, weather, fuel, weight, and role distribution.
- Optimizing fuel efficiency during flights within safety constraints outlined in the Airline’s Operations Manual.
- Overseeing pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety, security, fuel, and transit checks conducted by the assigned crew. Taking appropriate action to address safety or security issues and escalating concerns as needed.
Qualifications
- A valid ATPL license is mandatory.
- Successful completion of airline and civil aviation authority-approved technical and psychometric assessments for pilots.
- Successful completion of airline and civil aviation authority-approved medical fitness examinations for pilots.
- Training in safety and emergency response (formal qualification preferred).
- Experience with airport security procedures and regulations (advantageous).
- Crew Resource Management training (advantageous).
- Familiarity with IATA principles and standards related to security (advantageous).
Experience
- Minimum 4000 hours of total flight time.
- Minimum 800 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on an Airbus A320.
- Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft systems and operating procedures.
- Experience with QA/safety/security/audit procedures and practices affecting flight operations.
- Proven ability to implement policies, procedures, and manuals according to approved standards and regulations.
- Cost-conscious approach with effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and results-oriented approach.
