The Opportunity
Fly Jinnah is actively seeking dedicated A320 Type-Rated Expatriate Captains to join its distinguished Pilots team. This is an exciting opportunity for eligible foreign nationals to embark on a challenging and rewarding career, operating within a growing airline in Pakistan.
Contract Specifications
- This exclusive opportunity is extended solely to eligible foreign nationals.
- The successful candidate will embark on a 15-month fixed-period contract, with the potential for renewal based on mutual agreement for a further period.
- The contract encompasses approximately three months of initial comprehensive training, followed by twelve months of active flying duties.
Key Responsibilities
The A320 Captain will be entrusted with paramount responsibilities, ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient conduct of all assigned flights in strict adherence to the Airline Operational Manual and relevant civil aviation authority regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Commanding assigned aircraft, acting as the ultimate authority and responsible party for the aircraft throughout all flights.
- Ensuring meticulous adherence to the airline’s Operations Manual and regulations, consistently implementing and monitoring procedures for safe and seamless aircraft operation.
- Maintaining exemplary personal readiness, including timely attendance, professional grooming, physical fitness, and legal compliance for all assigned flight duties.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight briefings to ensure all flight and cabin crew members are fully informed and prepared for upcoming operations.
- Collaborating effectively with First Officers, Second Officers, and the Dispatch Team prior to each flight to review critical information such as aircraft technical status, route preferences, prevailing weather conditions, fuel requirements, weight distribution, and role assignments.
- Optimizing fuel efficiency during flights, always within the stringent safety constraints outlined in the Airline’s Operations Manual.
- Overseeing the execution of all mandatory safety, security, fuel, and transit checks by assigned flight and cabin crew members before, during, and after each flight.
- Providing decisive leadership and guidance to the crew in response to safety or security irregularities, making critical decisions and escalating issues as required.
- Consulting with the Chief Pilot, Maintenance Control Centre, Operations Control Centre, and Head of Flight Operations on any non-routine or critical actions, ensuring all duties are performed through established channels and in compliance with adopted policies and procedures.
Qualifications (Academic & Training)
Prospective candidates must possess:
- An appropriate Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is a fundamental requirement.
- The ability to successfully pass technical and psychometric assessments for pilots, aligning with both airline and civil aviation authority standards.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive Medical Fitness check-up, in accordance with airline and civil aviation authority standards.
- Essential training in safety and emergency response; a formal qualification in this area is highly advantageous.
- Training in basic airport procedures, security protocols, and regulations is considered an asset.
- Crew Resources Management (CRM) Training is an advantage.
- Familiarity with IATA principles and standards relating to security is advantageous.
Work Experience Requirements
Candidates are required to demonstrate:
- A minimum of 4000 hours of total flying time on aircraft.
- A minimum of 800 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on the Airbus A320 type.
- Comprehensive and acceptable industry knowledge pertaining to aircraft systems and operating procedures.
- Proven exposure to Quality Assurance (QA), Safety, Security, and Audit procedures and practices relevant to Flight Operations.
- A demonstrated capability to effectively implement policies, procedures, and manuals in accordance with approved industry standards and regulations.
- A cost-oriented mindset, coupled with effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional accuracy and meticulous attention to both operational results and critical details.
Compensation & Comprehensive Benefits
Fly Jinnah offers a highly competitive remuneration and benefits package designed to attract top-tier aviation professionals:
Remuneration Structure:
- Monthly Salary During Initial Training (Approx. 3 months): AED 22,000 (equivalent to US$ 6,000) net per month, prorated for partial months, supplemented by Per Diem.
- Monthly Salary After Training / Final Line Check (for up to 60 Block Hours): AED 33,800 (equivalent to US$ 9,200) net per month, plus Per Diem.
- Flying Pay Above 60 Block Hours: An additional AED 475 (equivalent to US$ 130) will be paid for every block hour flown beyond 60 hours in a month.
- Per Diem: AED 184 (equivalent to US$ 50) per day, averaging approximately US$ 1,500 per month, allocated for food and miscellaneous expenses.
Comprehensive Benefits Package:
- Accommodation: Provision of suitable hotel accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis at the operational base and during layovers for the entire contract duration. This includes personal laundry service of up to four pieces of clothing per day at the hotel.
- Transportation: Reliable ground transportation services provided from accommodation to and from airports/office for all rostered flight duties.
- Travel:
- Economy class tickets arranged and paid for by the company at the commencement and conclusion of the contract, including a generous baggage allowance of up to 50 kg.
- Unlimited standby travel tickets available on the Air Arabia group network throughout the contract period.
- Eligibility for MYID travel benefits upon completion of six months of service.
- Uniforms & Laundry: Comprehensive uniform provision and laundry services for the duration of the contract.
- Roster & Annual Leave:
- Entitlement to 30 calendar days of Annual Leave Vacation (ALV) per completed year of service, accruing at 2.5 days per month.
- Paid vacation is granted following the successful completion of initial training and Line Flying release in the UAE, and upon the commencement of regular rostered flying duties in Pakistan.
- Paid vacation days will be strategically combined with rostered OFF days each month, guaranteeing a minimum of seven consecutive free-of-duty days (comprising Paid Vacation + OFF days) per month.
