A320 Type-Rated Pilot - Fly Jinnah
Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline, seeks skilled A320 Type-Rated Pilots to join its team on a fixed-term contract, open only to eligible foreign nationals.
The contract is for a 15-month fixed period, renewable upon mutual agreement for a further period. This includes approximately 3 months of initial training followed by 12 months of flying duties.
Decision Making Parameters:
The pilot conducts assigned flights in accordance with the Airline Operational Manual and civil aviation authority regulations. He ensures safety, security, and efficiency throughout all operated flights. He supports and guides the flight/cabin crew, handles emergencies, and takes control of the flight to ensure successful performance and a positive corporate image. The pilot consults with the Chief Pilot/Maintenance Control Centre/Operations Control Centre/Head of Flight Operations on any non-routine or critical action prior to execution. All duties are performed through proper channels and in compliance with adopted policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities:
The pilot flies the assigned aircraft from one destination to another according to given schedules and approved flight plans and is ultimately responsible for the aircraft during assigned flights. He ensures assigned flights are conducted in accordance with the Airline’s Operations Manual and regulations, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the procedures necessary to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the aircraft. The pilot ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality of self and Flight Crew for assigned flights, conducting pre-flight briefings to ensure members acknowledge flight details. He liaises with co-pilots and the Dispatch Team prior to each flight ensuring flight/cabin crew members are well prepared and provided with required information. Within safety constraints, he ensures the aircraft is flown so as to make the most efficient and effective use of fuel during the flight. The pilot ensures the required safety, security, fuel, and transit checks are carried out for each flight by the Flight/Cabin assigned crew members before, during, and after each flight, taking necessary action and directing the crew on how to react in case of safety or security irregularities, and decides on escalations if needed.
Qualifications:
- Appropriate ATPL License is required.
- Successful completion of technical/psychometric assessment for Pilots as per Airline and civil aviation authority standards.
- Successful completion of Medical Fitness check-up carried out for Pilots as per Airline and civil aviation authority standards.
- Training in safety and emergency response is essential; a formal qualification is an advantage.
- Basic Airport, security procedures, and regulations training is an advantage.
- Crew Resources Management Training is considered an advantage.
- IATA principles & standards relating to security is an advantage.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 4000 hours of flying an aircraft is required.
- A minimum of 800 hours as PIC on Airbus 320 is required.
- Acceptable industry knowledge in aircraft systems and operating procedures is required.
- Exposure to QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures and practices related to and affecting Flight Operations is preferred.
- Capability of implementing policies, procedures, and manuals as per approved standards and regulations.
- Cost-oriented, possesses effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High accuracy and attention to both results and details.
Salary and Benefits:
- Monthly Salary During Initial Training: AED 20,199 (Equivalent to US$5,500) (Net Salary) per month (Pro-rated for the part of the month) plus Per diem.
- Monthly Salary after Training/Final Line Check: AED 27,544 (Equivalent to US$7,500) per month (Net Salary) plus Per Diem (For Up to 60 Block hours in a month).
- Flying Pay Above 60 Block Hours: AED 404 (Equivalent to US$110) per block hour.
- Per Diem: AED 184 (Equivalent of US$50) per day (On an average of US$1,500 per month) for food and other miscellaneous expenses.
- Accommodation: Suitable hotel accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis at the base of operation and layover stations for the full duration of the contract, with personal laundry at the Hotel (4 pieces of clothes per day).
- Transportation: Suitable ground transportation from Accommodation to and from Airports/Office for all rostered flight duties.
- Travel: Economy class tickets at the commencement and end of the contract along with up to 50 kilos of baggage allowance; unlimited standby tickets on the Air Arabia group network during the contract period; MYID travel benefits after 6 months.
- Uniforms/Laundry: Uniforms and laundry service provided for the duration of the contract.
- Roster & Day Off: 30 calendar days of Annual Leave Vacation (ALV) per completed year of service (accruing at 2.5 days per month); Paid vacation granted following the successful completion of initial training and Line Flying release in the UAE, as well as upon the start of regular rostered flying duties in Pakistan; a minimum of seven consecutive free-of-duty days (Paid Vacation + OFF days) per month.
