A320 Type-Rated Pilot – Fly Jinnah

Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline, is seeking highly skilled and experienced A320 Type-Rated Pilots to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis. This is an exceptional opportunity for eligible foreign nationals to contribute to the growth and success of a dynamic airline.

Contract Specifications:

This position is exclusively open to eligible foreign nationals. The contract is a 15-month fixed-term agreement, with the possibility of renewal based on mutual agreement. The contract includes approximately 3 months of initial training followed by 12 months of line flying duties.

Responsibilities:

The A320 Type-Rated Pilot is responsible for conducting assigned flights in strict adherence to the Airline Operational Manual and all relevant civil aviation authority regulations. The pilot will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and efficiency throughout all flights. They will provide leadership and guidance to the flight and cabin crew, effectively manage emergencies and unforeseen situations, and ensure the successful execution of flights, thereby contributing to the airline's positive corporate image. The pilot will consult with the Chief Pilot, Maintenance Control Centre, Operations Control Centre, or Head of Flight Operations regarding non-routine or critical actions prior to execution, ensuring all duties are performed through proper channels and in compliance with established policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating the assigned aircraft in accordance with schedules and approved flight plans, assuming ultimate responsibility for the aircraft during assigned flights.
  • Ensuring that all flights are conducted according to the detailed provisions of the Airline’s Operations Manual and related regulations, maintaining all procedures necessary for safe and smooth aircraft operation.
  • Ensuring timely attendance, proper grooming, and fitness for duty for themselves and the flight crew. Conducting thorough pre-flight briefings to ensure all crew members are fully aware of flight details.
  • Liaising with co-pilots and the Dispatch Team before each flight, ensuring all flight and cabin crew are prepared and well-informed, including on aircraft technical status, route preferences, weather conditions, fuel, weight, and role distribution.
  • Operating the aircraft with a focus on fuel efficiency within safety constraints.
  • Ensuring required safety, security, fuel, and transit checks are performed by assigned crew before, during, and after each flight, taking necessary action and providing clear directions in the event of safety or security irregularities.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid ATPL License is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of technical and psychometric assessments as per the Airline and respective civil aviation authority standards.
  • Successful completion of a Medical Fitness check-up compliant with Airline and respective civil aviation authority standards.
  • Training in safety and emergency response is essential; formal qualification is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of airport security procedures and regulations is an advantage.
  • Crew Resource Management Training is considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of IATA principles and standards relating to security is an advantage.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 4000 total flight hours.
  • A minimum of 800 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on the Airbus A320.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of aircraft systems and operating procedures.
  • Experience with QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures and practices related to Flight Operations.
  • Ability to implement policies, procedures, and manuals as per approved standards and regulations.
  • Cost-oriented, with effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • High attention to detail and a strong focus on results.

Salary and Benefits:

Monthly Salary During Initial Training:

During the training period, until the final line check, the pilot will receive a net salary of AED 20,199 (equivalent to US$5,500) per month (pro-rated for partial months), plus per diem.

Monthly Salary After Training/Final Line Check:

After successful completion of training and the final line check, the pilot will receive a net salary of AED 27,544 (equivalent to US$7,500) per month, for up to 60 block hours, plus per diem.

Flying Pay Above 60 Block Hours:

For each block hour exceeding 60 hours in a month, the pilot will be paid an additional AED 404 (equivalent to US$110) per hour.

Per Diem:

A daily per diem of AED 184 (equivalent to US$50), averaging US$1,500 per month, will be provided for food and other miscellaneous expenses.

Accommodation:

Suitable hotel accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis will be provided at the base of operation and layover stations for the full contract duration, with personal laundry service (4 pieces per day).

Transportation:

Ground transportation between accommodation and airports/office for all rostered flight duties will be provided.

Travel:

The company will arrange and pay for economy class tickets at the beginning and end of the contract, with a baggage allowance of up to 50 kilos. Unlimited standby tickets on the Air Arabia group network will be provided during the contract period, and MYID travel benefits will be available after 6 months of service.

Uniforms/Laundry:

Uniforms and laundry services will be provided throughout the contract period.

Roster & Days Off:

Pilots will be entitled to 30 calendar days of Annual Leave Vacation (ALV) per completed year of service, accruing at 2.5 days per month. Paid vacation will be granted after the successful completion of training, the Line Flying Release in the UAE and commencement of regular rostered flying duties in Pakistan. Paid vacation days will be combined with rostered off days each month, ensuring a minimum of seven consecutive free-of-duty days (paid vacation plus off days) per month.
