Fly Jinnah A320 Type-Rated Pilot - Fixed-Term Contract
Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline, is seeking skilled A320 Type-rated pilots to join its team on a fixed-term contract. This opportunity is open to eligible foreign nationals.
Contract Duration:
- Fifteen-month fixed-term contract, renewable by mutual agreement for further periods.
- Initial three-month training period followed by twelve months of flying duties.
Decision Making Parameters:
The pilot is responsible for conducting assigned flights in accordance with the Airline Operational Manual and applicable civil aviation authority regulations. They ensure ultimate safety, security, and efficiency throughout all operated flights. The pilot supports and guides the flight and cabin crew, handles emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios effectively, and takes control over the flight to ensure successful performance and a positive corporate image.
The pilot consults with the Chief Pilot, Maintenance Control Centre, Operations Control Centre, and Head of Flight Operations on any non-routine or critical action prior to execution. All duties are performed through proper channels and in compliance with adopted policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities:
- Flies the assigned aircraft from one destination to another in accordance with given schedules and approved flight plans, acting as the ultimate responsible for the aircraft during assigned flights.
- Ensures that assigned flights are conducted in accordance with the Airline's Operations Manual and regulations, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining procedures to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the aircraft.
- Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality of self and the Flight Crew for assigned flights. Conducts pre-flight briefings to ensure all members are acknowledged with flight details and continuously ensures that briefing is properly done prior to each action as per adopted procedures.
- Liaises with co-pilots (First Officer and Second Officer) and the Dispatch Team prior to each flight, ensuring the flight and cabin crew members are well prepared and provided with required information including aircraft technical status, route preferences, weather, fuel, weight, and distribution of roles.
- Ensures, within the safety constraints detailed in the relevant sections of the Airline's Operations Manual, that the aircraft is flown in a manner that makes the most efficient and effective use of fuel during the flight.
- Ensures the required safety, security, fuel, and transit checks are carried out for each flight by the assigned Flight/Cabin crew members before, during, and post each flight. Takes necessary action and directs the crew on how to react in case of safety or security irregularities; decides on escalations if needed.
Qualifications:
- Appropriate ATPL License is mandatory.
- The candidate must pass the technical/psychometric assessment for Pilots as per the Airline and respective civil aviation authority standards.
- The candidate must pass the Medical Fitness check-up carried out for Pilots as per the Airline and respective civil aviation authority standards.
- Training in safety and emergency response is essential, and a formal qualification is an advantage.
- Basic Airport, security procedures, and regulations training is advantageous.
- Crew Resources Management Training is considered an advantage.
- IATA principles and standards relating to security are advantageous.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 4000 hours of flying an aircraft.
- Minimum 800 hours as PIC on Airbus 320.
- Possesses acceptable industry knowledge in aircraft systems and operating procedures.
- Exposure to QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures and practices related to and affecting Flight Operations.
- Capable of implementing policies, procedures, and manuals as per approved standards and regulations.
- Cost-oriented, possesses effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High accuracy and attention to both results and details.
Salary and Benefits:
Monthly Salary During the Initial Training:
- AED 20,199 (Equivalent to US$5,500) (Net Salary) per month (pro-rated for the part of the month) plus per diem.
Monthly Salary after Training / Final Line Check (For Up to 60 Block Hours in a Month):
- AED 27,544 (Equivalent to US$ 7,500) per month (Net Salary) plus per diem.
Flying Pay Above 60 Block Hours in a Month:
- Every block hour above 60 Block hours in a month will be paid @ AED 404 (Equivalent to US$ 110).
Per Diem:
- AED 184 (Equivalent of US$ 50) per day (On an average of US$ 1,500 per month) will be paid towards food and other miscellaneous expenses.
Accommodation:
- The Airline shall pay for and provide suitable hotel accommodation for the Crew Member during the contract period – Bed & Breakfast basis only.
Transportation:
- Suitable ground transportation from Accommodation to and from Airports/Office will be provided for all rostered flight duties.
Travel:
- The company shall arrange and pay for economy class tickets at the commencement and end of the contract along with up to 50 kilos of baggage allowance.
- Unlimited standby tickets on Air Arabia group network during the contract period.
- After completion of 6 months, the employee will be eligible for MYID travel benefits.
Uniforms / Laundry:
- Uniforms and laundry service will be provided for the duration of the contract.
Roster & Day Off:
- The Airline may roster the crew member for up to the maximum duty time allowed by the respective CAA.
- The employee will be eligible for 30 days of annual leave in one calendar year, which can be divided throughout the year.
- The Airline shall do its best to schedule as many consecutive days off (above the minimum) as possible.
