A320 Type-Rated Pilot - Fixed-Term Contract
Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline, seeks experienced and skilled A320 Type-rated pilots to join its team on a fixed-term contract. This exciting opportunity is open to eligible foreign nationals.
Contract Details:
- The contract is for a fixed period of 15 months, renewable on mutual agreement.
- The initial period includes approximately 3 months of training, followed by 12 months of flying duties.
Key Result Responsibilities:
- Performs as either the 'Pilot Flying' or 'Pilot Monitoring', assisting the Captain in managing flight deck operations.
- Monitors flight progress, efficiency of operating systems, and performance of other cockpit crew members.
- Conducts flights in strict adherence to the airline's Operations Manual and regulations, prioritizing safety and smooth operation.
- Coordinates with the Captain and Dispatch Team pre-flight, ensuring the crew is well-prepared and briefed on essential information including aircraft technical status, route preferences, weather, fuel, weight, and assigned roles.
- Completes necessary checks, records, and documentation tasks related to conducted flights, such as take-off data, fuel requirements, and flight plans.
- Utilizes standardized systems and forms for data recording (log book, CFP, etc.), verifying calculated data and obtaining the Captain's signature.
- In locations without qualified personnel, inspects fuel type and supervises aircraft fueling, ensuring proper fuel distribution.
- Alerts the Captain of any irregularities or adverse factors potentially affecting safety.
- Takes necessary actions as directed by the Captain and assists the crew in responding to safety or security anomalies.
- Undertakes additional ground-based tasks such as Safety Officer or Security Officer, as assigned by the Head of Flight Operations, adhering to the provisions of Part A of the Airline's Operations Manual.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 500 hours of flying experience, with Airbus 320 experience preferred.
- Experience with low-cost airlines is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in aircraft systems and operating procedures.
- Possesses the necessary knowledge and experience to handle security or safety-related roles as required by the airline and respective civil aviation authority standards.
- Exposure to QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures and practices relevant to Flight Operations.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary:
- Initial Training: AED 12,853 (Equivalent of US$ 3,500) per month (net salary) plus per diem.
- Post-Training / Final Line Check: AED 20,199 (Equivalent of US$ 5,500) per month (net salary) plus per diem (up to 60 block hours per month).
- Flying Pay (above 60 block hours): AED 275 (Equivalent of US$ 75) per block hour.
Per Diem:
AED 184 (Equivalent of US$ 50) per day (approximately US$ 1,500 per month) for food and miscellaneous expenses.
Accommodation:
Suitable hotel accommodation (bed and breakfast) provided by the airline for the duration of the contract.
Transportation:
Suitable ground transportation provided from accommodation to and from airports/office for all rostered flight duties.
Travel:
- Economy class tickets for travel to and from the initial and final days of the contract, along with up to 50 kilos of baggage allowance.
- Unlimited standby tickets on the Air Arabia group network during the contract period.
- Eligibility for MYID travel benefits after 6 months of service.
Uniforms / Laundry:
Uniforms and laundry service provided for the duration of the contract.
Roster & Day off:
- The airline may schedule the crew member for up to the maximum duty time allowed by the respective Civil Aviation Authority.
- 30 days of annual leave per calendar year, which can be divided throughout the year.
- The airline prioritizes scheduling as many consecutive days off (above the minimum) as possible.
