Overview

Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline and a dynamic group company, is actively seeking highly skilled and experienced A320 Type-Rated First Officers to join its team on a fixed-term contract. This exceptional opportunity is exclusively available to eligible foreign nationals. The contract specifies an initial 15-month fixed period, renewable by mutual agreement, comprising approximately three months of initial training followed by twelve months of dedicated flying duties.

Key Responsibilities

The A320 First Officer will be responsible for a range of critical duties ensuring safe and efficient flight operations:

  • Operates as either the Pilot Flying or Pilot Monitoring, providing essential support to the Captain in managing flight deck operations, monitoring flight progress, assessing system efficiency, and overseeing the performance of the cockpit crew.
  • Executes all flights in strict adherence to the airline's Operations Manual and relevant aviation regulations, consistently applying and monitoring procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the assigned aircraft.
  • Collaborates effectively with the Captain and Dispatch Team before each flight to ensure comprehensive preparedness of flight and cabin crew, sharing critical information including aircraft technical status, route preferences, weather conditions, fuel requirements, weight, and role distribution.
  • Performs all required checks, record-keeping, and documentation tasks for each flight, such as verifying take-off data, fuel requirements, and completing the Air Traffic Services (ATS) flight plan.
  • Utilizes established systems and forms for data recording, including logbooks and Continuous Flight Plan (CFP), cross-verifying calculated data and securing the Captain's endorsement.
  • At locations lacking qualified ground personnel, supervises aircraft fueling, verifying fuel type and ensuring proper fuel distribution.
  • Proactively informs the Captain of any irregularities or adverse variables impacting safety, executing instructed actions and guiding crew members on appropriate responses to safety or security incidents.
  • Undertakes additional ground-based responsibilities, such as Safety Officer or Security Officer duties, as directed by the Head of Flight Operations and in compliance with the airline's Operations Manual Part A.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A minimum of 500 hours of total flying experience, with a strong preference for Airbus A320 type experience.
  • Prior experience with a low-cost airline is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated acceptable industry knowledge of aircraft systems and operating procedures.
  • Possesses the requisite knowledge and capability to undertake additional delegated roles, including security or safety-related functions, in accordance with airline and civil aviation authority standards.
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance (QA), Safety, Security, and Audit procedures and practices relevant to Flight Operations.

Compensation and Benefits

Fly Jinnah offers an attractive compensation package and comprehensive benefits for this role:

  • Training Period Salary: During the initial training phase, until successful completion of the Final Line Check, a net monthly salary of AED 12,853 (approximately US$ 3,500) will be provided, pro-rated for partial months, in addition to a daily per diem.
  • Post-Training Salary: Following training and Final Line Check, a net monthly salary of AED 20,199 (approximately US$ 5,500) is offered for up to 60 block hours per month, supplemented by a daily per diem.
  • Overtime Flying Pay: For every block hour flown beyond 60 hours in a month, an additional payment of AED 275 (approximately US$ 75) will be made.
  • Per Diem: A daily per diem of AED 184 (approximately US$ 50), averaging US$ 1,500 per month, is provided to cover food and miscellaneous expenses.
  • Accommodation: Suitable hotel accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis is provided at the base of operations and during layovers for the entire contract duration. This includes personal laundry service (up to 4 pieces per day).
  • Transportation: Ground transportation is arranged between accommodation and airports/offices for all rostered flight duties.
  • Travel:
    • Economy class airfare is covered by the company at the commencement and conclusion of the contract, including up to 50 kg baggage allowance.
    • Unlimited standby tickets are available on the Air Arabia group network throughout the contract period.
    • Eligibility for MYID travel benefits commences after six months of service.
  • Uniforms & Laundry: Comprehensive uniform provision and laundry services are included for the contract duration.
  • Leave & Rostering:
    • Pilots accrue 30 calendar days of Annual Leave Vacation (ALV) per completed year of service (2.5 days per month).
    • Paid vacation is granted subsequent to successful completion of initial training and Line Flying release in the UAE, and upon commencement of regular rostered flying duties in Pakistan.
    • Paid vacation days will be integrated with rostered off days each month, ensuring a minimum of seven consecutive free-of-duty days (Paid Vacation + Off Days) per month.
