A320 Type-Rated Pilot - Fixed-Term Contract (Foreign Nationals)
Overview
An exciting opportunity is available with Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline, for skilled A320 Type-rated pilots. The airline is currently seeking experienced aviation professionals to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis. This opportunity is exclusively open to eligible foreign nationals.
Contract Specification:
- Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract
- Eligibility: Open only to eligible foreign nationals.
- Duration: Initially a 15-month fixed period, renewable upon mutual agreement. This includes approximately 3 months of initial training followed by 12 months of flying duties.
Key Responsibilities:
The A320 Type-Rated Pilot performs crucial duties essential to flight operations and safety. Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as either the 'Pilot Flying' or 'Pilot Monitoring', supporting the Captain in managing the flight deck environment. This involves closely observing flight progress, assessing the efficiency of operating systems, and monitoring the performance of other cockpit crew members.
- Operating flights in strict adherence to the detailed provisions outlined in the Airline’s Operations Manual and relevant regulations. The pilot is responsible for consistently applying and supervising the procedures required to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the assigned aircraft at all times.
- Collaborating with the Captain and Dispatch Team before each flight to ensure flight and cabin crew members are thoroughly prepared and furnished with all necessary information. This includes details regarding the aircraft's technical status, preferred routes, prevailing weather conditions, fuel requirements, weight and balance, and the distribution of crew roles.
- Completing all necessary checks, records, and documentation tasks assigned for conducted flights, such as calculating take-off data and fuel requirements, and preparing the ATS flight plan.
- Utilizing adopted systems and forms for recording data, including the log book and CFP, among others. The pilot verifies calculated data against assumed values and secures the Captain's signature as required.
- At locations lacking qualified personnel, the pilot is responsible for checking the fuel type and supervising the refuelling process, ensuring proper fuel distribution within the aircraft.
- Promptly alerting the Captain to any irregularities or unfavorable variables that could potentially impact safety. The pilot applies necessary actions as directed by the Captain and assists the crew in understanding how to react effectively in instances of safety or security irregularities.
- Undertaking additional, ground-based assignments, such as roles within Safety or Security, as directed by the Head of Flight Operations and in full compliance with the provisions detailed in Part A of the Airline’s Operations Manual.
Work Experience and Qualifications:
Candidates applying for this position must possess a strong background in aviation operations. Essential requirements include:
- Completion of a minimum of 500 hours of total flying time. Experience on the Airbus A320 aircraft type is preferred.
- Previous experience with a low-cost airline operator is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated acceptable industry knowledge concerning aircraft systems and operating procedures.
- Possession of the requisite knowledge and exposure to effectively handle any other role delegated, such as security or safety-related functions, in line with airline requirements and respective civil aviation authority standards.
- Exposure to Quality Assurance (QA), Safety, Security, and Audit procedures and practices relevant to and impacting Flight Operations.
Compensation and Benefits:
Fly Jinnah offers a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits for pilots on a fixed-term contract:
Monthly Salary During Initial Training:
- During the Training period (Until the Final Line Check) you will be paid AED 12,853 (Equivalent to US$ 3,500) (Net Salary) per month (Pro-rated for the part of the month) plus Per diem
Monthly Salary after Training / Final Line Check:
- (For Up to 60 Block hours in a month) AED 20,199 (Equivalent of US$ 5,500) / per month (Net Salary) plus Per Diem
Flying pay above 60 block hours in a month:
- Every block hour above 60 block hours in a month will be paid @ AED 275 (Equivalent of US$ 75)
Per Diem:
- AED 184 (Equivalent of US$ 50) per day (On an average of US$ 1,500 per month), will be paid towards food and other miscellaneous expenses.
Additional Benefits:
Accommodation:
- You will be provided with suitable hotel accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis at the base of operation and layover stations for the full duration of the contract. In addition, personal laundry at the Hotel – 4 pieces of clothes per day.
Transportation:
- You will be provided with suitable ground transportation from Accommodation to and from Airports/Office for all rostered flight duties.
Travel:
- The company shall arrange and pay for economy class tickets at the commencement and end of the contract along with up to 50 kilos of baggage allowance.
- Unlimited standby tickets on Air Arabia group network during the contract period.
- After completion of 6 months, you will be eligible for MYID travel benefits.
Uniforms / Laundry:
- You will be provided with uniforms and laundry service for the duration of the contract.
Roster & Day off:
- You are entitled to 30 calendar days of Annual Leave Vacation (ALV) per completed year of service (accruing at 2.5 days per month).
- Paid vacation is granted following the successful completion of initial training and Line Flying release in the UAE, as well as upon the start of regular rostered flying duties in Pakistan.
- Your paid vacation days will be combined with rostered OFF days each month, guaranteeing a minimum of seven consecutive free-of-duty days (Paid Vacation + OFF days) per month.
