The Role:

The Captain holds primary responsibility for the safety and security of the aircraft, its crew, passengers, and cargo. Key duties include:

• Ensuring the safety and security of all crew members, passengers, and cargo on board.
• Maintaining responsibility for the operation and safety of the aircraft from the commencement of taxiing until the aircraft comes to rest at the end of the flight and engines are shut down.
• Taking all reasonable measures to ensure that all persons carried in the aircraft obey lawful commands for the purpose of securing the safety of the aircraft and its occupants or property.
• Operating the aircraft efficiently in accordance with company fuel policy.
• Ensuring On Time Performance.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is an experienced and qualified pilot who meets the following essential criteria:

• A minimum of 5500 hours total flying time.
• A minimum of 2500 PIC hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit jet aircraft (defined as aircraft with a Flight Management System coupled to an Automatic Flight Director System).
• A minimum of 1500 PIC hours on one of the A320 Family aircraft.
• Must have flown any Airbus Fly-by-Wire aircraft within the last 12 months.
• Possesses an unrestricted and current ICAO ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License).
• Holds a current A320 type rating, valid for a minimum of two months at the time of joining.
• Possesses an unrestricted and current Class 1 medical certificate.
• Must be maximum 59 years of age on the date of joining.
• English Language Fluency (written and verbal) Level 4 or higher is required.
• Possession of a current TRE (Type Rating Examiner) or TRI (Type Rating Instructor) endorsement is considered an advantage.
• Note on hours: For flights accumulated with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours shall be counted towards the required minimums.

Compensation and Benefits:

Etihad Airways offers a competitive annual package comprising basic salary, flying pay, a housing allowance to assist with securing accommodation, and layover and meal allowances. Based on 75 hours of flying per month, pilots have the opportunity to earn up to 637,304 AED (approximately USD 171,589) tax-free per annum, with annual increments based on performance. Additional benefits include:
