Job Summary
The Flight Attendant position at Eastern Air Express is integral to maintaining the company's core values and culture. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in pre-flight briefings, generate comprehensive reports, conduct thorough safety checks, and prepare aircraft for service.
- Ensure the availability and appropriate delivery of onboard provisions, including food, beverages, and other supplies.
- Manage inventory and process payments for onboard services as required.
- Deliver clear and welcoming announcements, greet passengers, verify boarding passes, address passenger inquiries, assist with luggage stowing, and provide support to passengers requiring special assistance.
- Conduct safety demonstrations, inform passengers about emergency equipment and exit row seating protocols, and effectively operate audio equipment.
- Monitor cabin aisles to ensure passenger adherence to federal regulations during take-offs and landings, and perform regular checks to guarantee passenger comfort.
- Prepare passengers and the aircraft for landing in accordance with company policies and federal regulations.
- Respond competently to in-flight emergencies, providing essential guidance and aid to passengers, including administering emergency first aid and documenting any injuries or incidents.
- Complete and submit all required documentation and reports accurately and punctually.
- Maintain a courteous and respectful demeanor with all passengers and vendors.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must possess the legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Must hold a valid U.S. Passport, with at least six months of remaining validity.
- Requires availability for a minimum of 18 days per month.
- Possession of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21 years.
- Ability to successfully pass drug and alcohol screenings, including a pre-employment DOT drug test, and a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
- Must own and maintain a personal mobile phone.
- Fluency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language.
- Must be able to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Demonstrated customer service experience is mandatory; experience in hospitality or retail is preferred.
- Ability to travel to Canada is required.
- Must maintain valid travel documents without any restrictions that would prevent entry into all international destinations.
- Physical capability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, stretch, and bend for extended periods of up to 14 hours or more.
- Flexibility to work varying duty schedules each month, potentially including extended periods.
- Willingness to be away from home base, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability to attend and successfully complete initial Flight Attendant training and operational experience programs.
- Must maintain a polished, professional, and conservative personal appearance.
- No visible tattoos or body piercings are permitted while on duty.
- Proven ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Location Requirement
Candidates must reside within a 2-hour radius of El Paso, TX.
