Delta Air Lines is seeking an Intern for the Flight Operations Flight School team for the Spring 2026 semester. This role contributes to achieving divisional goals and supports the overall success of Delta Air Lines. The intern will work closely with a specific team within Flight Operations, which may include areas such as Training and Standards, Line Operations, or the Chief Pilot Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting a designated Flight Operations team with daily tasks and projects.
- Collaborating with fellow interns on a team assignment.
- Presenting the results of the team assignment to Flight Operations Leadership.
- Supporting various operational and administrative functions within the assigned team.
Learning Opportunities and Benefits:
This paid internship provides valuable educational and professional work experience within a major airline's Flight Operations division. The intern will have opportunities to learn about interconnected departments including, but not limited to, Flight Safety, the Operations Customer Center, Technical Operations, In-Flight Service, and Airport Customer Service. Additional privileges include standby travel anywhere within the Delta system while off duty.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with an aviation discipline.
- A minimum of 150 total flight hours is required.
- Actively pursuing either a Commercial Pilot Certificate or a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI).
- Must be able to commit to the full duration of the internship timeline: January 12, 2026, through May 1, 2026.
- Possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly process complex issues.
- Demonstrates the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Must possess comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, Forms, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet.
- Demonstrates competency in skills including managing and working with training equipment, collection and analysis of flight planning data, reading and summarizing new regulations, and relating to the advanced jet environment.
- Holds a competitive GPA and is in good academic standing with their university.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Must be able to work on-site at Delta's World Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia; this is not a remote position.
