Flight Training Procedures Instructor
Delta Air Lines seeks a highly skilled and motivated Flight Training Procedures Instructor to deliver engaging and effective training modules. The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping the future of our pilots, contributing to a safe and efficient operation. Responsibilities:
The Flight Training Procedures Instructor will design and conduct training modules encompassing New Hire Pilot Indoctrination, Return to Work (RTW) Pilot Reorientation, and Instructor/Evaluator Principles of Instruction (POI) courses. Instruction will adhere strictly to company policies and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). Responsibilities include:
- Classroom facilitation and instructor-led technical training.
- Administration of knowledge assessments and hands-on practical exercises.
- Curriculum development and maintenance for e-learning and instructor-led training (ILT) programs.
- Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned training areas.
- Conducting student progress assessments and preparing students for end-of-course examinations.
- Managing class scheduling, logistics, and communication.
- Adhering to rigorous safety standards in all operational aspects.
- Instructional subjects will include (but are not limited to): Security protocols; Operations Specifications; Aircraft Operating Manuals; Crew Member Duties & Responsibilities; Aircraft Performance; Weight & Balance; Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Usage; Flight Planning & Dispatch Procedures; and Fundamental Principles of the Teaching-Learning Process; Instructional Methods, Procedures and Techniques; Evaluating Student Performance; and communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Minimum of a two-year college degree or equivalent experience as an instructor/facilitator.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Candidates lacking an FAA Ground Instructor certificate must be eligible to obtain an FAA Advanced Ground Instructor Certificate within twelve months of hire.
- Successful completion of Delta Instructor/Evaluator Indoctrination and Academic Instructor Qualification curricula.

- Ability to embrace diverse perspectives and working styles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience instructing technical, non-technical, and compliance training programs.
- Experience with air carrier training programs.
- Possession of an FAA Ground Instructor Certificate with Advanced and/or Instrument Rating (AGI or IGI).
- Airline Transport Pilot certificate or Commercial Pilot certificate with Instrument Rating, or military equivalent.
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor certificate or military equivalent.
