Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety in all operational processes and procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing diverse passenger needs and providing memorable experiences.
- Collaborate effectively within a team to ensure smooth and efficient flight operations.
- Manage unexpected situations with professionalism and efficiency in high-pressure environments.
- Administer emergency procedures and provide basic first aid and CPR as needed.
- Clearly communicate directions and information to passengers during routine and emergency situations.
- Make informed decisions aligned with Delta's policies, procedures, and core values.
- Serve and sell food and beverages, adhering to all safety and service standards.
- Assist passengers with luggage and other needs.
- Maintain passenger safety and comfort during delays or turbulence.
- Make public address announcements in compliance with regulations.
- Perform duties effectively in varying environments, including at altitude.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 21 at the time of application.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Fluency in English (Bilingual candidates in English and another language are also sought).
- Valid passport with at least 30 months validity remaining before the start of training. Non-U.S. passport holders must demonstrate unrestricted entry and exit from the U.S.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment DOT drug test and comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting.
- Ability to sit in a jump seat with fastened seatbelt and shoulder harness.
- Ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 60 pounds (emergency exits, aircraft doors) and push/pull carts requiring 32 lbs of force.
- Commitment to maintaining passenger privacy.
- Demonstrated ability to work in diverse teams and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to prioritize safety and security.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting. This includes accessing overhead bins up to 74 inches from the floor.
- Willingness to relocate or commute to an assigned base (Bilingual/LOD candidates must remain in their assigned base for a minimum of 2 years post-training).
- Adaptability to scheduling changes and willingness to adhere to all company policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One or more years of experience in a customer service role with responsibilities similar to those of a flight attendant.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Training:
Successful candidates will participate in seven weeks of comprehensive training at Delta's World Headquarters in Atlanta, GA. Training includes a training wage, meals, and lodging for those residing outside a 25-mile radius of the facility. Upon completion, Flight Attendants will be assigned to one of 14 bases across the United States.
