How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

In-Flight Service is seeking an experienced analytical professional to join the Flight Attendant Contact Experience Team (FACET). This exciting role is pivotal in using data to inform strategies for IFS’ objectives and initiatives to ultimately benefit Delta’s 20,000+ flight attendants from an employee experience perspective. The Analyst on this team will be deeply involved in extracting information from large databases to answer strategic questions that can benefit IFS and to help build business cases for future projects. This role is intended to use strategic curiosity and strong analytical skills to uncover new learnings from disparate data sources and drive our business forward. An ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with high technical proficiencies in data analytics and reporting.

+ Build analytics processes around the extraction of data from large databases, which include automation, insights, and optimization of text-based survey data

+ Prepare documentation and visualizations of results for review by divisional leaders, such as weekly/monthly dashboards

+ Support the FACET team through the development of IFS key performance indicators and predictive modeling

+ Collaborate with other divisions, including IFS Operations Analysis and Performance, to further develop analysis and reporting

+ Test new technologies, tools, and data

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

+ High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency

+ 1+ years of work experience in data analytics, information science, data visualization, or other relevant discipline

+ Highly proficient PC skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required

+ Successful candidates will have experience working with data analytics tools, such as SAS/SQL, Tableau, or other tools and programming languages

+ Experience with mining and analysis of textual data, such as sentiment analysis and word cloud generation

+ Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into a logical and actionable story

+ Proficiency in written and oral communications and able to produce concise, relevant, strategic documents and executive presentations

+ Be self-motivated and able to work independently and also team-oriented and collaborative

+ Flexibility and being able to adapt to multiple projects, sometimes with aggressive timelines

+ Must embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles

+ Consistently makes safety and security a top priority for self and others

+ Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

+ Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of work experience in data analytics, information science, data visualization, or other relevant discipline

+ Graduate degree (Master’s or Doctorate) is a plus
